Holy cow! I had NO idea how much work went into your channel. I’ve never made a U-Tube video so this was very interesting and eye opening. I watch a lot of RV channels and I can easily spot the ones that really work hard on them. Almost every video of yours I watch, somewhere in my comment I mention how good your editing is. Now I’m even more impressed. As one of your avid viewers, let me assure you that all your work is totally worth it. Your videos are easy to watch, very interesting, informative and entertaining. You know a video is good when it ends too fast and all of yours seem to end too fast. That’s a huge compliment! This was excellent!!

I understand the amount of work required to create and produce good content and final production. Any TV documentary show has often a hundred people listed in credits. Ha ha, your credit list is rather small (you & Michelle), but your videos are still very well produced. Just wanted to let you know you are appreciated. Happy RVing!
Yes, the amount of people doesn’t factor in with the person doing the editing though. A clip is a clip and still has to be edited and the same time consumption.
If you have scripts with multiple people, then that would be time consuming. We don’t use scripts at all and just go with it naturally.
Again, it’s the editing that is so time consuming BUT it is also the rewarding part creating something and seeing the final. 👍🏻😊🤓

Another great video. Interesting to see how much work it takes to put a 20 minute video together. I really don’t understand why most UA-camrs do it but I am sure glad you do. We have watched you from the beginning of your channel and have seen all your videos, some more than once 😉. Thank you so much for the quality of your videos, some of the best out there. I would say you, KYD, and Changing Lanes are the best RV channels. We are retired and are serious RV’ers who take several month to two month trips a year. We love watching you guys on a weekly basis and know it is a lot of work you're putting into pulling these video's together. You may not remember us, but my husband and I met you in Benson AZ. We are remote workers ourselves and you inspired us into working remotely from the road more often. We took our first two month trip early summer to test the waters. I tried to do UA-cam. Our channel was Gone Whalen. I quickly learned how much time goes into the filming process. I hated carrying a camera all the time. So I only put up three or four videos lol
This is my personal channel which I post my dad's old sermons on along with family videos. I enjoy that more than the filming process 😁
You definitely have to love what you do to continue. It honestly is you, the viewers and the stories we receive that keeps us going. Honestly, it makes us feel like we are serving others. Stories from those that can not travel, those that have been diagnosed with an illness that are getting enjoyment from the videos and those that are RVers or thinking about RVing. The enjoyment in their responses touches our hearts so much. Many we have started to feel like they have become family. We think it is us that has been blessed. 🧡

That's the BEST formula tho as far as I am concerned, while I am fighting my Original Jurisdiction Case in DC I get to "take a vacation on the road" whenever I want... believe it or not but I enjoy the shots of the road, signs, & fields/landscape, as you drive... it may not be everyone's fav type of RV video but the TWO things I LIKE the MOST are:
1. The feeling of being in the RV travelling with the music &
2. The Product/other Reviews that are helpful & save everyone time & expense in discovering the correct products/ other that works for them... your experience becomes a time multiplier... so I like your format... that's the reason I am here... keep 'em coming & thanks

As a UA-cam creator on an extended break between sunsetting a channel and starting a new one, and working full time (still in our sticks and bricks), I KNOW what you are facing. Thats why I try hard to support channels' pleas to subscribe and use affiliate links because creators deserve something for the time invested in making content. I really disapprove of comments suggesting that people get rich making videos on UA-cam, but I do like to see people such as you two trying hard to supplement your income through these videos and I have no problems if you make a few pennies via the channel. Good luck - you're about 1/4 of the way to that 100K plaque! Thanks for keeping it real.

I love watching Brian and Michelle's channel because in such a crazy world they seem like a normal, fun, mostly-sane couple (no offense....just saying, who isn't a little crazy after a year+ of Pandemics, race riots, crime waves, etc? it's all I can do to not lose my mind...). A lot of other RV channels are full-on freak shows.

Hi Brian and Michelle, Nice video. As we who travel in our RV’s extensively realize, life changes a lot, but some things don’t change. You make it clear that creating good content is a full time job. Like you said, as long as it is a labor of love, then the hours and work are worth the struggle. When that changes, it’s time to make a change. I always enjoyed my career and other jobs, which made my time enjoyable and rewarding. I always thought that I would keep working after I retired, and I did until my wife retired. During that time frame, my mind changed about keeping working. It was due to getting older, and financially I didn’t need to keep working. So I decided to make retirement work, and I’m glad I did. Funny thing is, after a couple of months into retirement, I realized how much work controlled my life. Now I enjoy freedom from that.
There’s a lot of truth in what you said, Clay. So glad you’re enjoying your retirement!! We are counting down to when we get there. 😊🤓

Thank you for sharing the insights of developing your videos. I can appreciate all the time and effort you have dedicated to this channel. My daughter had a channel for several years that had a big following. She says that the editing was the hardest, most time consuming part. She started doing it as a 13 year old and has now moved on to attending university which takes up all of her time now.
You’re very welcome. The editing part can be VERY different for all channels. For instance…I did what I call an easy 39 min video that took only 5 hrs to edit, whereas our “usual” 30 min video would take about 4 days. The editing time all has to do with what you put into it…how much editing you do. That’s a small part of our channel as far as time consumption. So many things that we never even considered…BUT, I enjoy very much what I do and especially what it does for others.
Love your content. Thanks for taking the time to share. We make videos for our family and it takes a LOT of time. Hopefully they will look back on ours and be inspired to get out and do! Thanks again!

I loved hearing you talk about your editing process. I feel exactly like you. If it takes 40 hour or 10 camera angels then that's what I'll do. Trying to create a feeling or taking us on a journey with you is the goal. My friends and family will say she's "in the tunnel" cause I will not want to leave my project till it's just as I imagined it and created something out of nothing. We had our motor home for 12 years and never once did I flush the black or gray tanks I always liked to make sure they were about 1/2 tank before dumping to get a good flush. We used the RV to go racing about 15 to 20 times a year, so it had a lot of miles to slosh the pop around. Never had a problem with smell or backups. We did use a environmental friendly additive. We always stored it in a building so it was never in the hot sun when not in use.

I really LOVE your videos and appreciate all you do. Remember to take time to just enjoy each other’s company once in a while and we will be here waiting patiently. You might try freezing your avocados. That’s what I do and then you can use less ice cubes. I also will freeze coffee cubes and then I make a mocha latte shake. MMMMMMMM. It is my full time job now. It was not planned to be but it took off and once we started seeing how much people enjoyed the videos, it was hard to imagine stopping. It’s a very slow and gradual growth process.

I've had the situation where my video is uploaded, scheduled, then I realize I forgot to add a clip! I just had that happen, but decided to add it to another video instead of doing it over. Since there's 3 parts from a rally, it won't be a problem.

I get tired of UA-cam people complaining about how much work UA-cam is-Nobody is forcing you and the rest of the UA-cam complainers to do this -We are on the road now and I would NEVER sacrifice our adventures and experience to do UA-cam -I just wish all the UA-cam people would STOP making videos complaining about how hard it all is 🤯🤬

I appreciate you pulling back the curtain a little to see what it takes to full time AND manage a YT channel. It only takes me 20 min to watch a 20 min video, so I now understand better the time and commitment you invest to produce. Consider adding a banana or strawberries to that smoothie.....mmmmm?
Banana for sure, especially if we weren’t “trying” to do KETO. Lol The sweetener in the protein powder used keeps it keto this way for us. I used to love banana, chocolate and peanut butter together though. 👍🏻
I never thought about our coffeemaker having mold buildup. I do clean the water holder very day because we are on well water. I’ve been interested in a cold press. Guess it’s time to experiment! ciao!

Boy that decaf tears my stomach up! My note taking for cards is the same! lol I found, putting them in a journal book under categories has helped me. I absolutely love y'alls videos. They say for every interruption, it actually takes 15 minutes to get back in the zone. Have you found out what it takes to become monetized w/UA-cam? Also, can your viewers help by watching the ADs and maybe clicking on the websites? BIG HUGS #seeyanextweek
Make sure you always get the natural decaf and not the ones that use a chemical process. Always do Organic too with any coffee a d whole bean.
