Canta con Orgullo Desfile - Mexican Heritage Month - Elgin, IL

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Elgin organized a day filled with fun activities to recognize the incredible heritage and culture of the hispanic population in our city. A rainy morning passed to allow for a beautiful afternoon kicking off with a car parade down Douglas Avenue, a huge party at Festival Park with live entertainment and food trucks, and ending the night with a spectacular fireworks show! Canta con Orgullo is such a fantastic name for this event, as so many of our residents are proud of their culture and heritage!

I was there it was amazing so many cars waving the Mexican flags. I think the city of Elgin needs to bring back the Mexican Independence Day parade. They used to have it back in the '80s and '90s
