Dear Booktube, please start leaving names of books/authors mentioned in your videos in the info below the video. I always end up with huge lists of books to look up on Goodreads, and it'd be so much easier to have them all listed
Theft of Swords is INCREDIBLE. I've seen some people turned away by the first book due to the writing but just know, MJS improves IMMENSELY in the second volume!
Giant floppy paperbacks are my fav. I had to find the specific floppy paperbacks of Game of Thrones. I'm still waiting to buy the rest of the books in that edition. Floppy paperbacks are so much fun to read. I just love them.
You go girl! The Way of Kings is amazing, but Words of Radiance... Oh boy, just wait for that one. Luckily the third book is coming out next year, and Sanderson is very good at getting those books done pretty quickly. I wouldn't worry about it being 10 books :) I picked up Uprooted from the library and currently reading it
I give you major props for being able to read those extremely huge fantasy books!!! I was so proud that I read ACOMAF and that's like extremely rare for me to read books that long 😂 I have a short attention span. and I had no idea Nerve was based off of a book! That movie looks so good so now I have to make sure to grab the book first! The cover is so much fun also 😊
Just so you kow, The Way of Kings is good, but the second book is even better! You understand more and get totally sucked into this amazingly deep ad intricate world!
I bought more books this month than I ever do. I bought: •The Mayflower and the Pilgrims' New World by Nathaniel Philbrick •A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas •Our Lives, Our Fortunes, and Our Sacred Honor: The Forging of American Independence, 1774-1776 by Richard R. Beeman •James Madison: A Life Reconsidered by Lynne Cheney •Secret Lives of the First Ladies by Cormac O'Brien •A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare •Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare •The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson
Those thick old fantasy books are MY fantasy lol. I find it interesting that you decided to start collecting the Brandon Sanderson books in American editions. The English editions are so much prettier to me that I've actually purposefully avoided buying any Brandon Sanderson books with my B&N gift cards so that I could get them from Book Depository in the other editions.
Occasionally you mention other booktubes that you watch...Do you mind putting their links in your description sometime!? Thanks lady! :) I love your recs!
I read the first Fablehaven a while ago and have been looking for it (and the rest of the series) ever since. Apparently I'm destined to always miss out on book 1 now because no one ever seems to have it when I look...even online!I just ordered The Name of the Wind so I'm looking forward to that showing up!
I'll miss your red glasses :(. And don't worry about the fact that The Way of Kings is just 1 book out of a planned 10. Each book will most likely be as big as the first two (around 1000 pages), and Sanderson will just keep coming out with books in-between. The Stormlight books are really fun to think and speculate about, and I think you will really like them! It has a lot of worldbuilding (which I don't usually like) but the characters and the climax -which was amazing even by his standards - are worth the beast of a book. I think you'll be obsessed with Kaladin after you read it too lol
if this helps -the first arc of The Stormlight Archive (the way of kings) is going to be 5 books and then the next 5 books are to follow later in a different setting. So now isn't too bad of a time to start!
These all look amazing! But, as you said you like fantasy, have you read the Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini? It's seriously good, four books (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Inheritance), high fantasy. It's beautiful, but they're all pretty long. :)
That's so cool that you're going to a movie premiere! I saw the trailer for Nerve and it seems interesting. Can't wait to hear what you think of the book!
I am reading The Way of Kings and I love it! One bad thing though is that they haven't released a trade paperback version of Words of Radiance and from what I've read they may never. So I have no clue what I'm going to do. I'll probably by the hardback version from Books-A-Million. It's always in their bargain section for less than 10 dollars.
please tell me you've read the enders game series. I generally don't read that genre but speaker for the dead knocked my socks off and I'm a HUGE fan of them now. I feel like it's right up your alley, also cheap on book outlet.
Brandon Sandersons 10 book series is two 5-book series, the second series follows long after the first (I think that's the plan...). So next book will be halfway through the first so...not too tough to get into!
I'm sure they've been suggested, but Scott Lynch's Gentlemen Bastard series is amazing. The first one is called The Lies of Locke Lamora. They are a fantasy heist series with great friendships. While there aren't a TON of women, the ones that are there are amazing.
I basically stopped functioning when I saw you bought The Way of Kings!! This is the most epic of epic series, Brandon Sanderson really outdone himself :')
I really liked The Nest. I found it to be pretty fast paced even though there aren't like crazy plot twists or action sequences. It did a good job of getting me invested in what was happening with everyone in the pretty large cast of characters. Hopefully you end up liking it too.
So happy that I've finally graduated high school😊 so I'm going to be reading high fantasy books this summer ie: A song of ice and fire series and the Kingkiller Chronicles 😊😊
Could you do a bookshelf tour? Or maybe just show us some books that are never talked about that you own? Because i love your taste in books and i always look behind you into your bookshelf and see some books that i'd like to actually hear you talk about... Love you 😘😊
I love you and your videos! I was wondering if you could do a video giving tips on getting over a reading slump, finding the time to read during a school semester, etc. I'd love to hear some advice from you. (unless a video about this has already been done lol)
read elantris/mistborn trilogy/warbreaker before the way of kings! it adds so much to the books (also know about hoid! just a little - know to spot him) :)
I got City of Ashes (I'm trying to collect all of TMI/TID in the new editions) for $6 at Half Price Books! Whenever I find them cheap I pounce on them. I also got Binge at Barnes and Noble yesterday! And I also got Queen of Shadows (which I'm currently reading and it's so good!! This series is the best I've read in a while!) at Half Price Books for only $4!!! I couldn't believe it was so cheap!
Hey guys... What tips do you have for reading big books of 800+ pages. I'm so busy these few months, but all the books I want to read are big. Damn you study!!!!!
Plan to read a certain amount of pages or chapters each day and go from there. A good goal would be to read at least 50-100 pages each day. Set aside one to two hours per day for reading.
Make it a goal to read EVERY day, even if its only for a couple minutes! It feels better knocking off just 10 or 20 pages rather than 0, and eventually you'll fall into the world and it'll fly by!
I would read everyday and plan out how many chapters you want to read that day. When I read Les Miserables, its over 900 to a thousand pages depending on the version, but I would set down and plan how much I wanted to read. I would also say don't read at night? try to read during the day, even if its a few pages, because your mind won't want to focus on the book.
Thanks everyone. I was planning on reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" this summer holiday, but so it happened I won't be having time off. As if the 1400 pages weren't daunting already.... As you all said, I'll just try to read a few pages each day.
I got "Asylum Novellas" by Madeleine Roux, "The Rose and the Dagger" by Renee Ahdieh, "The Star-Touched Queen" by Roshani Choksbi, "Slimed" an Oral History from the 90s Nick stars, and "True Love: A 3 Story Collection" by Lurlene McDaniel
Dear Regan, In terms of full-length books I've acquired this year, the number is zero, but I've received so many Advance Reader Copies sneak peaks: Veronica Roth's "Carve The Mark" and James Dashner's "The Fever Code" to name a few. I'm doing a video on them soon. Happy Reading! Love, Sona
Great video as always!! Can't wait to pick some of these up. Currently reading Falling Kingdoms, question to everyone though: I'm 130 something pages in and I don't get the hype. It's sooooo boring!! Should I keep reading? Because I'm honestly I'm about to give it up.
Yes, yes, yes! The beginning is slow but it gets absolutely CRAZY later. Even more in later books. There is so much murder and betrayal and magic and complicated relationships and manipulation and it'ssogoodtrustme. XD
I acquired way too many books to list in a comment this month... around 20 books. 15 of those books I bought at a book sale at one of the library branches (only two or three of those books were actual library books that had been purged from circulation... the rest donated to the library for future book sales, thus no pesky library stickers) for only $10 since all 15 books fit in the paper grocery bag they give you to fill up. The majority of the 15 books I bagged were books I already had on my TBR list that I just haven't bought yet because I'm a bargain book hunter (why spend full price when there are so many bargains that regularly rotate which books they mark down, even newer books). It's for that reason that I feel no guilt whatsoever about acquiring so many books this month since most of the books I've acquired were already marked as TBR. I'm finally able to get some of those books knocked off of my huge TBR now.
i felt the same way about way of kings.. but trust me you jus go ahead read it like.... right now xDD.... it's jus aahh.. all the characters you'll be introduced here will have their conclusion in book 5 so you dont exactly have to wait for all 10 books
I read the final 550 pages of A Feast of Crows (game of thrones book 4) so yeah, getting lost in a good chunky book can be very rewarding. Got Rebel of the Sands too :) can't wait to jump in.
With your glasses and your dungarees, you are looking like the cutest 90s kid ever. Rock that denim girl.
Haha my thoughts exactly. I love your style, Reagan!
Regan Explains It All
does anybody know where the glasses are from?
The black prism sounds amazing! Wanna read it.
Dear Booktube, please start leaving names of books/authors mentioned in your videos in the info below the video. I always end up with huge lists of books to look up on Goodreads, and it'd be so much easier to have them all listed
Amen. This is why I always list the books I mention in my videos.
Yes! Could not agree more.
a lot of booktubers do do that, i do that in my videos cuz its one of my biggest pet peeves too!
I totally agree with this!
Yes! Sometimes I can't make out what they're saying 😂
I just love them.

the black prism i need to pick it up
THEFT OF SWORDS!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Theft of swords is really good and very funny too. The way of kings is one of my all time favorit books and it dosn't end on a huge cliffhanger.
I give you major props for being able to read those extremely huge fantasy books!!! I was so proud that I read ACOMAF and that's like extremely rare for me to read books that long 😂 I have a short attention span.

Just so you kow, The Way of Kings is good, but the second book is even better! You understand more and get totally sucked into this amazingly deep ad intricate world!
Nerve is so fast paced, not very deep but a really fun read - I hope you love it!
"big book book haul"
could not be more tru!!!
I bought more books this month than I ever do. I bought:
•The Mayflower and the Pilgrims' New World by Nathaniel Philbrick
•A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
•Our Lives, Our Fortunes, and Our Sacred Honor: The Forging of American Independence, 1774-1776 by Richard R. Beeman

•A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
•Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
•The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson
hamilton👀👀👀👀
+melissa fisher you know it
I personally didn't enjoy A Court of Thorns and Roses. Other than that, I've read most of them, and they're all pretty damn amazing.
Anyone else see her almost say Fox at 5:17? :)
"Odd but beautiful" probably best describes The Gracekeepers! Excited to hear what you think of it :)
Occasionally you mention other booktubes that you watch...Do you mind putting their links in your description sometime!? Thanks lady! :) I love your recs!
Riyria Revelations is quite possibly my favorite series of all time. It a whole heap of great fun and the story keeps getting better with each book.
Theft of Swords and all the following books in that series are so much fun! You'll love them!
These all look amazing! But, as you said you like fantasy, have you read the Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini? It's seriously good, four books (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Inheritance), high fantasy. It's beautiful, but they're all pretty long. :)
I saw the thumbnail and thought "wow these glasses look super cute" - so i couldn't go to bed before watching the video
I literally screamed when I saw you bought Theft Of Swords! YES ITS AMAZING
I always love getting new glasses. I'm glad you've got so many exciting books!
That's so cool that you're going to a movie premiere! I saw the trailer for Nerve and it seems interesting. Can't wait to hear what you think of the book!
Im so picking up the Black Prism!! Ive been craving a long fantasy novel to dive into
I am reading The Way of Kings and I love it! One bad thing though is that they haven't released a trade paperback version of Words of Radiance and from what I've read they may never. So I have no clue what I'm going to do. I'll probably by the hardback version from Books-A-Million. It's always in their bargain section for less than 10 dollars.
Love your new glasses girl! The Black Prism sounds so good! i want to read it.... guess im adding it to my very long TBR pile.... lol
please tell me you've read the enders game series. I generally don't read that genre but speaker for the dead knocked my socks off and I'm a HUGE fan of them now. I feel like it's right up your alley, also cheap on book outlet.
Liking the new glasses!!! You're making me want to read big books!!! For some reason, I have trouble finishing huge novels!
Brandon Sandersons 10 book series is two 5-book series, the second series follows long after the first (I think that's the plan...). So next book will be halfway through the first so...not too tough to get into!
Reagan's sense of style is so great, I would love to see a closet tour bc I wanna wear most of the things she does
All I can say is read Warbreaker if you haven't before you read Words of Radiance. I never got so excited by the end of a book because of it.
Hey Regan! when I'm buying books, what is the PC term for the large 'floppy' paperback? when I see paperback I usually assume mass paperback.
I'm sure they've been suggested, but Scott Lynch's Gentlemen Bastard series is amazing. The first one is called The Lies of Locke Lamora. They are a fantasy heist series with great friendships. While there aren't a TON of women, the ones that are there are amazing.
Have you read Robin Hobb's books? Seems like it would be right up your alley and I'm wondering which series is the best to start with :)
I've had Nerve on my shelf for so long now! I haven't read it yet though! I hope you have an amazing time at the premier!!
I'd heard of The Nest, but I didn't know what it was about. It sounds so interesting! :)
The Nest looks really interesting. I'm excited to see what you think about it & I really like your outfit!
You should read the Belgariad by David Eddings, it's a long fantasy series for young adults. It is amazing
I am so excited that you're reading theft of swords!!!
All those books seem so interesting!!! Can't wait to read some of them. And does anyone know what style/ brand is her shirt. I'm interested
These all look so good. I wish I could get into high fantasy a little easier 😊
I just saw theif of swords at B&B I'm looking forward to seeing what you think because I want to read it!
Regan, I love your vlogs! Why did you stop posting them?
where did you get those glasses there amazing.
Every time I watch any of your videos anymore I just get a humongous urge to pick up a very large epic fantasy...
Not that I'm complaining, of course!
I basically stopped functioning when I saw you bought The Way of Kings!! This is the most epic of epic series, Brandon Sanderson really outdone himself :')
Where did you get your glasses? I'm always on the hunt for pretty eyeglasses.
I LOVED Theft of Swords. Honestly one of my favourite fantasy series I've read in awhile. Hope you enjoy it!
Regan! Where did you get your glasses? I've been looking for a pair of wide frame clear ones. xx
could you read rangers apprentice by john flanaghan
because id like to know what you think of them since i loved reading them when i was younger
I really liked The Nest. I found it to be pretty fast paced even though there aren't like crazy plot twists or action sequences. It did a good job of getting me invested in what was happening with everyone in the pretty large cast of characters. Hopefully you end up liking it too.
Can I just say, between your username, icon, and the fact that you're commenting on a booktube video makes you seem like a pretty cool person haha!
Almost halfway through The Nest.
haha, thanks! When fandoms collide :)
The prism can draft all colors of light but he can also split white light into any color!
So happy that I've finally graduated high school😊 so I'm going to be reading high fantasy books this summer ie: A song of ice and fire series and the Kingkiller Chronicles 😊😊
Are the British Sanderson's floppy or on the stiffer side?
stiffer
Most UK books aren't floppy!
I wished all books were floppy. Stiff books only look good until you read them
we always prefer the stiffer side ;)
+Slutty Book Club I prefer stiff too. I feel floppy could probably fall apart as easily as they flop open. :P
I wish your book hauls had more non-fantasy books but I guess you really like them!
She has, if you look at her other book hauls, I guess it depends on what she's into at the moment.
Have you ever read ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES by Jennifer Niven?
Are you going to continue with The Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner???
I got The Dream Thieves by Maggie Steifvater and The Last Dogs: Dark Waters by Christopher Holt
What booktubers would you suggest that love fantasy?? :)
You should do an updated bookshelf tour!!
I recently bought the entire Lux series. It's really good so far. I love Jennifer L. Armentrout's books.
read elantris/mistborn trilogy/warbreaker before the way of kings! it adds so much to the books (also know about hoid! just a little - know to spot him) :)
I like your new glasses!!! I need new ones. But they cost money. ha
I'm so proud if myself, I only bought 1 book this month!! I bought The Last Star by Rick Yancey.
Aaaah The Riyria Revelations are so awesome! I hope you enjoy your time with Hadrian and Royce :-)
I think you should read Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan! It's a lot like Fabelhaven and I loved it when I was younger!
I need to read Theft of Swords as well! Buddy Read?
The cover of Rebels of the Sands is soo pretty! And so are your glasses btw:)

I was planning on reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" this summer holiday, but so it happened I won't be having time off. As if the 1400 pages weren't daunting already....
As you all said, I'll just try to read a few pages each day.
Can you do a review on Nerve when your finished with it
can you do a mystery/thriller book recommendations
Serving saved-by-the-bell realness
what brand of glasses are those?
I'm reading the black prism now. so good AND THE FEELS.
Black Prism's magic sounds similar to the emotional spectrum from the DC universe. Seems pretty interesting :)
have you ever counted how many total books you have?
even if it's hundreds
So many fantasy books I need to read like yesterday! I got Dune and Assassin's Apprentice this month and I hope they are as good as people say 😄
I think you're really gonna love Theft of Swords! The Revelations are AMAZING! I love Michael J. Sullivan! His new book just came out! Age of Myth!
so the app is like wattpad but exclusively for authors only?
"Way of Kings" is amazing!! As is "Words of Radiance" which I recently finished! So so so good, I highly recommend. 👌🏼
The black prism sounds interesting.
You're glasses are so cute! Where are they from?
I bought The Nest a couple of months ago! so looking forward to reading it :D
YOUR OUTFIT IS ADORABLE
I got "Asylum Novellas" by Madeleine Roux, "The Rose and the Dagger" by Renee Ahdieh, "The Star-Touched Queen" by Roshani Choksbi, "Slimed" an Oral History from the 90s Nick stars, and "True Love: A 3 Story Collection" by Lurlene McDaniel
Dear Regan,
In terms of full-length books I've acquired this year, the number is zero, but I've received so many Advance Reader Copies sneak peaks: Veronica Roth's "Carve The Mark" and James Dashner's "The Fever Code" to name a few. I'm doing a video on them soon. Happy Reading!
Love,
Sona
Great video as always!! Can't wait to pick some of these up. Currently reading Falling Kingdoms, question to everyone though: I'm 130 something pages in and I don't get the hype. It's sooooo boring!! Should I keep reading? Because I'm honestly I'm about to give it up.
Yes, yes, yes! The beginning is slow but it gets absolutely CRAZY later. Even more in later books. There is so much murder and betrayal and magic and complicated relationships and manipulation and it'ssogoodtrustme. XD
I finished it yesterday.I don't think I'll continue on with the series though.I agree,it's very boring
Please keep reading it. It gets really good and all kinds of shenanigans happens!
I just got the Wool books by Hugh Howey and I love them it is an absolutely brilliant story highly recommend
I've just finished reading Wool and it was great! The plot was really good and the whole idea of it was amazing.
I liked it, but I felt it could've used 150 less pages. It was REALLLLYYY slow at some points but overall good.
Way of Kings is AMAZING!!!!
I read the final 550 pages of A Feast of Crows (game of thrones book 4) so yeah, getting lost in a good chunky book can be very rewarding. Got Rebel of the Sands too :) can't wait to jump in.
I literally 30 pages away from finishing that book today as well. weird lol
+Brittany Hart I woke up this morning to finish as I had 30 pages as well to go :)
