Without block you get hard punished for bad positioning. You will need to use footwork, dodging, and jabs to get out of tough situations. Judging distance also becomes very important haha. The surprising thing is that if you play with polearms you probably won’t be blocking much anyway.

Faster than maul for sure. Without the raw data I don’t know if it’s faster than heavy mace. It’d be close I reckon. That being said I think the heavy mace is a better weapon.
If it meant we could take out the balistae then yes haha. At the same time though, it's another siege equipment for you to get taken out by your own team.

Yeah. Crude weapon that eventually got replaced by the more refined polehammer, halberd, billhook, and partisan.
