Huh, unbinding my block its actually a good idea to improve my footwork, maybe I should try it out for some time. Great video as always!
Without block you get hard punished for bad positioning. You will need to use footwork, dodging, and jabs to get out of tough situations. Judging distance also becomes very important haha.
The surprising thing is that if you play with polearms you probably won’t be blocking much anyway.
The goedendag was not just rather not a farmer weapon it was introduced during the Flemish revolution against the Burgundians
It was mostly used by citizens from the big towns
Legend goes they walked around the city with this sticks and chatted in Dutch everyone who answers in French was clubbed to death

Yes my first memory of the Goedendag was watching the history channel's tv show (the entertaining but inaccurate one) about weapons.

It was one of the earliest Polarms and easy to make but bad against horses

Yeah. Crude weapon that eventually got replaced by the more refined polehammer, halberd, billhook, and partisan.

If it meant we could take out the balistae then yes haha. At the same time though, it's another siege equipment for you to get taken out by your own team.
How fast is it compared to the Heavy Mace or Maul?
Faster than maul for sure. Without the raw data I don’t know if it’s faster than heavy mace. It’d be close I reckon. That being said I think the heavy mace is a better weapon.
