    I think the run up to turn 13 is one of the most under rated track segments. Nothing about it makes sense from a speed perspective and if you mess up your braking here your car will be going in every other direction. It's fantastic

    Great series so far yorkie some very handy tips there to take in if your a new sim racer like me couple of questions for you
    1) With some of the tracks in this game that are in the F1 games can the same rules and techniques be applied there ?
    2) How long should it normally take you in a day lets say to learn a new track just so your not spending hours on it if that makes sense ?
    3) Is it ok to take someones elses setup to get close enough to the fastest time, if your not great at making your own setup as that what i intend to do with the f1 games say off the f1carsetup website ?

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks, as for answering questions:
      1- Not really no. For other games that have GT3 cars, more-so yes. GT3 and F1 cars drive differently, as well as being on different physics engines, different track layouts in terms of corner accuracy, surface accuracy and then the type of curbing used. The closer things are, the more you can take from this and replicate, but I'd say these track guides are fairly useless for the Codies F1 games other than knowing the sequence of corners.
      2- I've done guides on track learning to do so fairly quickly. I can learn a circuit within 2 hours and be putting in solid lap times, but will continue to find more time from there.
      3- It's ok to use other peoples setups yes, but keep in mind that majority of them were created for the person creating them. Differences in driving style for example may therefore not be suitable for a setup, and you may also get a setup that isn't suited for the conditions you want to use it. So whilst it is fine, there are a number of negatives. You'll learn a lot more from doing your own setups.

      @@Yorkie065 ahh ok thanks yorkie for the tips i thought they both work in the same way the games i have watched your other track guide and set up guide videos before so i can kind of get what they all do but the issue for me is putting the hours in to do the setup because you have to do each bit one by one

    Hey Yorkie.... you flip the orientation of the corners a lot and that makes then quite confusing.... happens in most of your videos in the aerial shots.... like here turn 1 is from one side (3:03 from left top pointing right), turn 2 is from another side (3:24 you moved camera to right and point to left and then flip again to other side on same turn at 3:40) .... it may be just me, my brain takes time to reorient. It's hard to make out which side is entry and which side is exit, there's no car in shot to make the reference and you keep flipping.

    • @Yorkie065
      @Yorkie065  4 роки тому +1

      Because that would be too easy :P But on a more serious note, don't know why, just when I did the first episode it was the settings that it used and stuck with them since. Also good to do Track Guides in non-perfect conditions so players aren't missing braking points or apex speeds on a green track.

      Just because you can go quicker than someone who does a lap guide, doesn't mean you can't learn something from them. You can still pick up another line into a corner which may end up working for you, and find that little bit of extra time that you're looking for.
