- Back with another M car! Quite pleasantly surprised by the BMW M4 CS, it drives noticeably different, believe me. With prices now dropping into a more sensible range, it definitely is a worthy consideration if you're willing to set aside a bit more money over the regular M4 CP.

Whilst the new price of these are crazy (90-100K) a quick search on Autotrader you can find 6 month old M4 CS's starting from around £68k with barely any miles. Therefore for that money this car is a serious tool, especially when you can pay 50-60 for a normal new M4 CP. My thoughts anyway 👍🏼

Don’t forget Bmw has spent a ton of money finding ways to improve an already great car. All these small tweaks make huge differences. Yes you can buy a normal m4 and map it but it will never perform as a overall package compared to the CS

Those OLED rear lights look sick. It's an animal of a car for sure, though I probably wouldn't say it's worth 90-100k from new. I also don't know what it is but I can't bring myself to like the design of the alloys on the CS, much prefer the 666s. Great review as always!

Just went for a look around one in stock at my local dealers. I have an M4 Comp, which I love, and prefer on the CS for every day use. I do prefer those wheels, far easier to clean on the CS. I believe you can buy the bonnet, splitter and spoilers as bolt ons to the other M4’s without the VIN, so may go for those next year if that rumour is true.

My 2018 m4 zcp has cup 2 tyres and the cs wheels. Its bloody amazing (when its dry :-) )

I know it would be kind of pointless, considering you've reviewed almost all of the performance VWs but id love to see you do a review of the Scirocco R. Pre or Post facelift.
Fab video, Hamza. Sounds like a proper BMW M car should! I think the reason why it's perhaps 'underrated' is because there's not too much coverage of it on YT or TV. Auto car did a video on it, and it was pretty damn boring. So there's not really too much awareness of just how good the CS really is.
Also surprised at the depreciation... easily justifiable over a normal M4 with some options.
Thank you, I agree it does sound great. And yeah the coverage on this model has been strange, mostly its been its price and not the car itself, most ignore that they don't really sell for list price on forecourts, great car with the discounts available.

I would just buy a regular m4 and tune it up myself. Save me a ton of money that could be used for rims/wheels, lowering the car, aesthetics of the car, power, etc

Looks brilliant, don’t even mind the sound from the inside, but the outside just isn’t really a nice note. An amazing car though, would be a track weapon.

Completely different type of car, and you can get a M4 CS from around 68-75k now, M5's are still minimum 84-85.

I don't know what BMW are thinking with the exhaust on the M3/4 normal or CS they don't sound great, it sounds like an angry wasp trapped in a tin. M2 is the best sounding I6 you can buy atm.
Alex Napper Totally agree!! I test drive the M4 Comp and the M4 CS on Saturday and there wasn’t a great difference in sound or power. I’ve excluded both and I’m now looking at the 2018 C63s! Sounds like a monster!

I'm not an expert on tires and how that affects the ride and handling, however, don't you think you'd be able to review all of that stuff more effectively if you actually drove a CS with the tires it was tuned to perform under? Hmmm, food for thought.

brilliant car looks the business, cup 2 tyres are too soft you can get a puncture going over a small stone.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 s would be a good choice. I used to have cup 2 on my car they looked like sprinkle doughnuts after going over any loose road surface even worse in hot weather.
check the reviews for the pilot sports 4 s i think they are the winner best performance tyre for everyday use in car magazine.
I really hope they dont depreciate as fast as the M4 GTS did.
Didn't help the m4 gts was highly criticised.a lot of magazines didn't rate it good at all.

M2 or e92 m3?
E92 has more character and nicer engine but m2 will be more reliable and easier on the wallet lol.both sick cars though.
Much rather pick up a used M4 for about 40k and get it tuned and styled to my taste. Whilst saving about 50K. The price is pretty outrageous tbh for 10bhp and a few carbon bits. Better yet a E63 S with it's AWD and RWD capabilities

Who ever hasn’t driven the cs need to stfu with there comment I had 2 m3 comps and now I have the cs and it feels like a different car and it’s definitely best in class ......only paying 899 a month for 24 ..months I was paying more for my comp!

Bmw really need up their game interior wise. It's really dull. Mercs are far more luxurious and Audi have a really nice interior too
Depends on the model, this interior is way better than some Mercs/Audis I've sat in.

You don’t purchase this type auto for the interior, but you knew that.
In conclusion; overpriced comp m4, why pay 90-100k only to get your ass handed to you by other cars in that price range. Or even much under that price range lmfao. NOT worth it at all imo but spend ur money how u want, each to their own.
