This interview was originally available on the dvd with the magazine in 2009. Future Music has been making In The Studio With videos since 2005. We have covered hundreds of artists talking about how they make their music. We are about to celebrate our 20th year so we thought you might like some classic content from the archives for free.
Great Video! Using tape delay has really helped my buildups, breakdowns and transitions. Thanks Sander and FutureMusic!
Respect His Music
i love how he explains, not like the others who have been on futuremusic and barely explained what they where doing and stared at the monitor like they didn't know what's going on.
Really good video! You are good at taking it to a beginner level! :D
How many trance artists was featured on " In The Studio"? Sean tyas ,Armin van Buuren etc...
Can you guys please invite hardwell or blasterjaxx in the studio?!?! :)
brett ross
I agree with you based on the fact that Zedd would teach a lot of theory and yes it is highly important. On the other hand I would like Blasterjaxx simply because I enjoy their music.
:P
neither of them are gonna teach anything new. We all know about building synths and automations. that's pretty much all they're gonna teach.
***** actually learning music theory isn't even that hard to learn.
simple stuff = learn scales, stay in key, 8 note melodies.
+Tech “Nika” Core somewhat. But the theory is just knowledge. Technique in songcraft, (I.e., turnarounds for different styles, the modalities, choosing the inversions, chord substitutions, and how they translate into portraying lyrics and tension, etc) is built through doing to build a knowing of which are effective when and where. It takes time to develop a personal craft that shows an individual stamp.
Watching in 2020
This is the guru right here
AudioInterface - Focusrite Saffire Pro 14
Mixer - Alesis MultiMix 8 USB FX
This is just my openion ..... I would also strongly advice you go to a music store and also ask some advice there.....
As for the Links....... Just search for Home studio setup tutorials or something like that....
That bass give all the movement.
Future music has been uploading videos theyve had archived for years...there was one uploaded for as far back as 2006...
That's awesome! Keep up the free vids :)
Hey! The Armin van Buuren Studio Session will be uploaded soon?
i hit like before video started :P
where are part 1 - 3?
thats down to the artist
Let me guess what Sander's favorite word is................. For Instance?!
And if you search here on the tube theres lot of tutorials on Audiointerfaces and mixers and logic and how to set up everything!!!!
QUANTITIZE.
Yeah, enlarging Titties -> Quantitisizing :D
Yep those speakers are very good!!!! And as for a soundcard (Audio Interface) It depends..... i would advice one with at least 2 inputs to connect your gear( Synth, guitar, Mic, bass , Anything) and 2 outputs in case you want to connect more speakers. This is a very good one the Focusrite Saffire Pro 14. As for the mixer maybe you dont need it right now.... A mixer is good when you have lots of gear and you want to play them all at the same time and still have individual control of each one
sounds like such a nice guy
Could you do a in the studio with Noisia or Jack Beats?
Is there a problem with Avicii getting one hour? Granted I would've preferred to see him work on Silhouettes or Levels.

Is it possible to see a Hardwell In The Studio with Future music? Maybe a Skrillex or a Porter Robinson? Thats what I want to see.

hmm "the track has already good dynamics, but you can add a lot more by using a limiter"?????
For me you take away more dynamics if you use a limiter to make it sound louder.
quan-ti-tize

Eeeh, I have this cupcake. Aaaand a top of that a bit more sugar.. aaaaannd a top pf that I have some more sugar... Aaand I have some eeeeeh, lets see on top of that I´v added some more sugar!
his comment around 20:00-25:00 about mastering a track while your producing it is awesome but if your still new to production i would say thats a teq he can do only after decades of studio time, and HIGHLY trained ears so be careful about doing the mastering before the the arrangement, automation, and mix down is done my classmates and i have found it can be terribly distracting and detrimental to my work flow. just my opinion take it with a grain of salt.
Vapetzi! You're so rude! :D
check out my logic templates!
i want to see the masterclass he did in amsterdam not a 3 year old one
What is this guy scared of
big geek
Quantatize…
This is spam. You don't want views from spam. You want views from people who like your music. Stop spamming, and just work on your music.
For instance he should.
Why's that a shame? I'm not seeing the bad side?
oskileitor
It's a BASSic way. Wow I'm funny...
quantitise😂😂😂😂
Maybe beffore you buy some gear you should learn first how to work on Logic and learn the basics of music production!!! .... and before you buy anything you first need a good pair of speakers and a good soundcard and (or) a mixer so you can record all of it to your computer!!!
Meh thumbs down
Quantatise lol
talk slowwwwwwwwly....man!
no
It's very basic...
