Chris lakes pretty funny reminds me of vince from mighty boosh top stuff and good sounding production HELP.... Does anyone know what type of moniters they are????? And where do you normally position the background noise/soundscape he modulates throughout the track... im thinking stereo???
@DaSoundOfEllie Dude the first thing he says is that he''s gonna show a new track he put togehter in Ableton Live 0:20. It also says in the discription to this video that he is working in ableton live.
To all those hating on certain DAW's, you wouldn't base a guitarist's skill on the type of guitar they use to make their music. The musician (producer - whatever) should be judged on their skill with recording, mixing and mastering and not on the software they use. Just because you use a different DAW to someone else doesn't automatically mean that yours is better. You'll probably find that you think one DAW isn't as good as another simply because a lot of the people using it are talentless!
@iappzone man its probably sampled.. if your going to make a tune with the ambition of it sounding tight, you don't make your kick, you sample it, constructed kicks, whether analogue or digital sound pretty poor... although, some analogue kicks can sound pretty nice with some processing.. but seriously, out of all the questions you could ask why ask that? its so irrelevant.
FL is a much easier DAW, Ableton in stronger but much harder to learn, that's why most producers (me included) uses FL, alsow it look much nicer and it's more enjoyeble to produce music in FL
SO I TOTALLY GET IT NOW THAT ALL THOSE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC USED TO BE A REAL PERSON MAKING A LIVING AS A COMPOSER CAN ALL BE DONE EVERYTHING IN THE COMPUTER? NOT TO MENTION QUITE SIMPLIER TO JUST HAVE THOSE COMPUTERIZED TRACKS OF MUSIC BACKGROUNDS ON MOVIES? OMG THEIR GOES THE JOBS OF INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE PERSONS THAT BASICALLY GONE TO COLLEGES FOR IT TURNING OBSOLETE BECAUSE IT COULD NEVER COMPETE THOSE COMPUTERIZED GOOD SOUNDING TRACKS MUSIC? OR IS IT?
People is so stupid!. The DAW doesnt make your music better. People just make a choice depending on whats more confortable and easy for them. I found Logic much "logic" to use than FL. but is still an excellent software. I just found it quite confusing because Im used to Logic. Best Djs arent what they are because of a DAW, its just a tool. They are top , because of their talent.
nah kid ableton i know fl like the back of my hand, just imagine each clip in live as a pattern in FL except u can launch them via midi or key map. dont get me wrong i love em both but live 9 is way better performing and funner to produce!!
Excellent video, thanks Chris.
@jimmyPain2121 It's called Space Drone.
I think that Solar Wind snapshot in Space Drone is from the beginning of Justice's "DVNO".

I don't think their brain can handle that information.

It amazes me when these guys make a track with more than 4 chords and they call it complicated. It really is basic stuff
