    • @DonnaBrooks
      @DonnaBrooks Рік тому

      Mr. Mooney's name in the first 3 seasons was Theodore, not Don. Did they have him play a different character at the beginning of S4 after Lucy Carmichael moved to CA? Boy, they sure had Jerry grow up overnight to have him be a child in S3 & away at school in S4! Also, her daughter was 17 in S3 so she would have been long out of college by the time her little brother followed. So they just moved Lucy to CA & forgot about Viv & the kids, & took one of the actors from the first 3 seasons into S4 as a different character, changing her name, & making her Lucy's new best friend.

      Electric typewriters also eventually had a corrector ribbon of white ink...you could backspace and retype over an error (blanking out the error in white) and then fill that space with the correct letter in black ink. They were noisy but copy typiats liatened to dictation on tapes so the typist often did not hear their own loid typing as much as the boss did. Bosses knew whether the worker was working or not by the volume and speed of the noise of the typing.

    I've seen this episode in the past. I Love Lucy is a better & funnier show. Her voice is deeper in this show than in I Love Lucy. I think smoking damaged her voice.

      They divorced in 1960. She bought him out of Desilu in '63. She sold Desilu to Paramount for $20,000,000 in 1968.
      They both remarried & he died in 1986, aged 69. She died in 1989, aged 77.
      👍💯😊

      This is NOT "I Love Lucy". This is "The Lucy Show". It's one of 4 series that Lucy did after I Love Lucy. This character has nothing to do with the Ricardos. This is Lucy Carmichael. Vivian Vance WAS in the first 3 seasons of "The Lucy Show," & they were great as a widow & a divorcee sharing a house with 3 children. Vivian Vance played a character who was also named Viv. Desi Arnaz was the executive producer of the first season.
