The del sol trans top is one of the slickest tops ever. Be it a little slow to open and close but still very slick. For me the older cars with electric tops were way cooler than the new ones. They were so much cooler to watch open and close than anything on the road today. I've been looking for one of these del sols to buy for a long time. I've found a few but they were in such a state of disrepair or so far away it wasn't feasible to make any offers. The one in this video never really showed any close ups of it but looks to be in amazing condition. Not fond of the color or wheels but still very nice.
i remember reading a question on getting roof to work from remote fob, nice one for getting one working, love it. i worked out how to get roof working without having engine running too, would need good battery though and higher rated as it was a bit slow. just bought samba green vti myself but manual roof, will convert to transtop in summer though :0)
Because its too hard to quickly open the trunk, take out targa top, snap it in and go. Now you need to wait for robotic slow ass vertical trunk and for it to put the roof in...kinda stupid if you ask me
Having owned a manual roof sol and transtop i would take the transtop anyday, yeah it weighs more but its awsome to watch, is really convenient and cheap to repair, well here in the uk they are cheap to fix
