Enjoy this video? Fantastic! Do me a favour and follow me on Instagram - @dpmakestuff. I do giveaways and you get to see what I'm working on every day. Thank you!
Watching this video is exactly what I picture the bad guy from gone in 60 seconds would do if he had a UA-cam channel.
Badass table! 😁
the bell and the "fake" was a nice edit...cracked me up
You not making anymore videos?
🤣🤣🤣🤣9’s 🤣🤣🤣
What are the gold button locks called?? And where can i get them?
Lol that ending. Damn near killed me with the nines
+Ifiok Obot I know I'm late, but why was it funny?
most people probably assumed he was making the compartment for his guns, 9 millimeters, but he put in two wooden number nines instead. pure comedy to me
Ifiok Obot Oh okay. I thought of that, but I wasn't sure. Thanks.
Well, I live in England, so I was wondering what "nines" were supposed to be until your comment. I did wonder whether he had size 9 trainers, though a secret compartment would be unnecessary, unless they were extremely valuable.
Yea same lol
Theres some sort of strange comedic timing to your editing that makes this 2x more entertaining
That ending tho! Awesome design, I really like it.
+Jeremy Schmidt HAHA! Thanks!
@@dpmakestuff just because you had yout 6's upsidedown, doesn't make them 9's
Sweet Build! I love that you used a solid panel for the bottom rather then cheeping out for ply!nicely done!
+Wood By Wright That would have been dirty! Plywood has its place but not too often is that place next to walnut! Thanks for watching!
+Dustin Penner So true! Great project!
Yeah, that is a nice touch but I was surprised he glued it all the way around. Seems like that could cause some issues later with expansion and contraction.

Lovin' that production quality, brethren! Awesome job on the build, and just as awesome showing it off in the filming!!!
Great. I now need to figure a way to make one for my sixes.
+Donnie G Can't be done.
+Donnie G A 45 maybe, but not a six haha!
@Hugo Adrian Wilkins r/woosh
Make the same one, but put the hinge and button on the other side.
Awesome build, simple but yet elegant and the secret compartment is perfect!
flat out awesome. Found this video as the first of yours and rolling through them now.
+gatorsteel Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
you know for a fact you do a good job when you make non builders want to build awsome !
haha! Thanks!
The 9's. That was great.
Thanks!
Very clean work and a lot of advanced techniques.
what a GREAT workshop
Beautiful work, and well-presented! Thank you! It's great to see a start-to-finish preso of a project that I don't have to sit through 45 minutes or poor editing to see.
Thank you very much! I try my best to trim the fat!
Amazing video, love the cinematography. Great project!
This is awesome! And that resawing action at the end, golly!
Beautiful piece. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail is spot on. I wish I had one of those tables to keep my "stuff" in. There's only one thing I would do that you didn't. I would put something in the bottom of it to make it quiet and soft in case it should get bumped to keep it from making any noise so as not to give your secret away.
Well done! Very talented craftsman. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks!
Just when I thought I couldn't love it any more, Bam, there were the 9's. Great video.
We all have our favorites on youtube to watch and you were not in my top 10, until today my friend. Outstanding craftsmanship. You just moved to the front of the pack. I've been searching for the perfect bedroom hiding spot for my CCW
and EDC that has ease without the use of magnets. Thank you and keep up the great work.!
Thats awesome! Thanks so much!
I love these Secret Compartment videos :) Keep it up!
Always a pleasure!!
+Jack Bench Woodworking Thanks you!

+TheDirtFighter Thanks very much!
Glad to see someone else is so intent on securing their 9’s as I am.
Today’s episode was brought to you by the letters D and P, and the number 9. Tomorrow Grover will teach us about Near and Far.
Nice build. Love the secret compartment!
This table is awesome the one thing I just dont understand is how people can hate on a beautifully don't "heritage" craft like wood working. It's truly a disappear art and under appreciated. thnak you for your video's sir.
Some people have been made to believe Ikea makes high quality furniture. The overall response to this build has been positive. Thanks!

This is the most well-made video I've ever seen on UA-cam. I've probably watched it 4 or 5 times. The video editing is great, the table is beautiful, and the bonus secret compartment just puts it over the top for me. This is my all-time favorite video. Amazing work Dustin.
Thanks very much Doug!

Well played on the 9s.
In the words of the great Norm Abrams, "You can never have too many clamps."
I was thinking this guy is one of the Beverly Hillbillies. You know the Clamp-its?
Apparently you can't have too many nines either, but they're so valuable you have to hide them.
you need to do more videos ! so awesome. great work.
+Alain Lebarbe The end game is doing this full time! Every video, every share, every view gets me closer! Thanks for watching!

+Bruce A. Ulrich Agreed. Also, the use of CA glue to set the hinges was clever.
The video itself is delightfully quirky... I love it!
Nice little table! Those wood grains look stunning!
Thanks!
Love the design!
Beautiful table! You never know when you need to pul out a nine and handle business!
I picked up your plans for one of your boxes, I love secret compartments and puzzle boxes. Not good enough to cut out all the material I need yet, but you have a lot of cool ideas
Very nice, love those secret compartments
Very clever idea super gluing the hinges like that. I'll remember that.
