I love Trilogy of Terror! Karen Black(?) with that knife in the end??!! If I catch it on, I watch it. They did remake it, but it was not as scary as the original portrayal, and lacks the “crazy” that Karen Black brought to the movie.

Yesss the OG Halloween😳 My mom who let me watch ALL the scary movies-wouldn’t let me watch the Exorcist! GenX is for sure ready for the Zombie Apocalypse! Faces of Death is nasty! Yep Jaws made every kid afraid of swimming even in swimming pools!😵💫😫 Alien is an excellent movie! Loved this❤

Dracula 1972 AD. Friday the 13th. Halloween 🎃 The Fog, The omen. I can go on and on. I am not scared of anything now😅 Night of the living dead in the late 60s was the first zombie movie. Carrie was cool.
We watched most of those movies without parental supervision. We saw the Exorcist at the drive-in theater with my dad and step-mother. That movie scared the shit out of me at 8 years old. I didn't see any of the FoD movies until I was in the Marine Corps in the 80's. By then it was just more ammunition for dark humor.
I snuck into a drive in and saw the Exorcist - almost walked out when her head twisted around.🥺 Snuck in and saw DOTD, Carrie and the Warriors/the Road Warrior dozens of times at that drive in. Read Carrie in 7th grade and Jaws when I was in 4th grade and saw the movie when it came out. Started going to the Midnight Movies (Hendrix, the Who, Rocky Horror) when I was about 14 and often didn't go home until the sun came up. We used to spend weekend nights hanging out at a local graveyard, or in a sewer/water spillway that was known as Pitch Black, because you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face after going around the bend. Molotov cocktails lit it up fairly well, though. BTW - There's a guy who was charged with murdering his friends on an expedition, I believe down in South America, who claimed that these small, human like creatures killed them. What he described was quite similar to that creature in TOT. A small knife made of quartz was also found, but no one believed his story. . .
Halloween had me stop trick or treating at 11 years old. Exorcist was it for me, and questioned religion. Alien was the movie that made me prepare to fight anything. Dawn of the Day turned me into a weapon loving, better be ready for when SHTF.
The original" The Evil Dead". On summer while my parents were at work, my sister and I had some friends over to watch this movie. Pulled the curtains to darken the room. Before the movie got to the middle, when shit started really happening, everyone ran out the house and we literally stayed outside until that vcr finished playing the movie and rewound and turned off. Think it was early 80's, but that shit should still qualify. 🤣🤣🤣
My uncle was so scared of Jaws in the movie theater that he would not put his feet down out of his seat to leave after the movie was over and the lights were on and the movie people in the theater had to literally carry him to the outside because he was that scared. 🤣😂🤣😂
I had reoccurring nightmares because of Burnt Offerings and Salem's Lot. Watched Faces of Death with friends in 8th grade to toughen ourselves up before dissecting fetal pigs in biology class. Thought about the scene where "Bob feeds the bear" when the "Would you (a woman) rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear? B.S. blew up a couple of weeks back.
I was born in 1960 so a lot of my scary psychological movies were actually black and white. Anything with Vincent Price Alfred Hitchcock The Birds scarred me forever Michael Myers is my number one scary but let me tell you we have a Michael in my family and we have a buried Judy not his sister but our last name was spell just like Michael Myers and it creeps me out I cannot go through a Halloween without watching that movie while carving pumpkins I have seen all the others I have them on DVD I figure it's overcoming adapt😂
