Thank you for the help. I got my ice maker working again. I used a big ass hair dryer. I got water all over myself. The Mrs got a laugh out of it. But she changed her tune when 1st batch of ice fell.
Very helpful, thank you. I did notice a lot of melting water coming from the area around the chute. I removed the two screws and lifted gently. The raised area to the left of the chute had a block of ice under it! That was all before I found your video. Your video taught me how to take the top off and find the test button. I did have a lot of water in the tray from the melting, so I used a bulb baster to suction it out (saved a lot of time!) I am waiting now to see if it works.

The display on the door doesn't light up anymore. The buttons all work and I hear belong when I click then, however nothing shows up on the display. I tried replacing the display but that didn't help. Any idea what could be going on? I can't find anything online about this same issue. Feeling a little lost on this one. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
So I defrosted, and pushed the reset. I still have water coming so I don't think the line is clogged. What else can I do? It won't make any ice but it won't even make the sound of trying to make ice.
thx mine stopped working ,so i did what you said and pressed the reset button , and the ice off button went off and now it works again for free ..... ty
My ice maker acts like it doesn’t know when the ice is formed and it’s time to eject the ice! After a defrost I press the button hear the defrost , tray fills with water and freezes. Then it just sits there. I then push the reset apply a hairdryer the arm moves and ejects the ice. Apparently the mold is not releasing the ice! I have replaced the IM three times( no help) replaced the water valve, replaced the main board. Reinstalled the original IM! Considering new frig!
I have a similar issue, i think its coming from the water thawing during the defrost cycle and not draining to the drain pan. Like the tray is iced over behind the panel. I'm going to try a complete thawing of both the fridge and freezer to see what it does.
Same ice maker. Mine will not fill the tray. Everything else works. We manually fill the tray with 4oz of water and it drops in 1.25 hours. Changed the filter and the servo valve in the rear. Still no water. Blew through the line and no obstructions
I just did a complete defrost on mine and now the ice maker doesn't work at all. I'm going to do some troubleshooting and let you know if I figure anything out.
No water is dispensed into the ice maker when I push the test button. Water dispenser works. I had the whole fridge turned off with the doors ope for 1 week so nothing is frozen. Whats next and on the back, there’s 3 lines. Which is which?
Same here. 😮 no ice. We fill the tray with 4oz and it freezes and drops but the damn thing absolutely refuses to fill itself. It’s like raising teenagers all over again! 😂
And it shawes locked blue lock out sude of the frezzer I don’t now hiw to an lock it to take out the ice acumulater from the frezzer i need help thank you for your help.
@@sahlualmedom905 could be where the gear is with the ice maker, The thing that spins to stir the ice. If its in a specific position, the ice holder is really hard to remove.

Did you ever have that metal hook arm in icemaker squeal when dispensing ice?
I haven't had that issue. I'd try a drop or 2 of household oil.

it is possible that the unit itself has gone bad.

What's happening for me, is ice is forming right on that front rake. I'm not sure where this water is coming from though.

I followed this but ice tray still will not dump on it's own. (It does only when test button is pressed).

After you defrosted, did you press and hold the button in the upper left of the ice cube maker? It’ll ding and restart the maker
