This album is so special to me. It's one of my favorite albums ever and i love ever single one of the songs. I've been a fan for about a year now, but Ghost Gardens got me fully into your music. Now, you're one of my favorites, if not my #1 favorite. I've been discovering more and more of your music and i just love it so much. My top 5 favorites of this album are Rip Me Apart, Dig, Lethal Poetry, One on One, and Is It Victory, although every single song is in my playlist. Excited for the next album. I haven't followed this albums release as close as most others, listening to each song maybe once as they released. Coming back from a little break from your music only reminds me that no matter what i'll always enjoy it!
To be blunt, I didn't like this album. A lot of the songs feel formulaic and samey, and the lyrics are very rushed in my opinion, being very repetitious and on the nose with themes. I don't think this one lives up to your older stuff. The older albums had a lot more variety to them, and the writing was a lot better and more consistent. But that's just my opinion. You're still my most listened to artist, and you probably will be for a while. Anyways, Tremor is my pick from this album for favorites. I wish you continued success moving forward.
I think the album started pretty solid: "One on One," "Clouded," "Infinity," "Tremor," "Fragile Skin of Me"... but after this last one, I started to notice the repetitive structure of the songs. I'm in love with the first song released, but after "Fragile Skin," I was more interested in "Pluto Tapes" than in the album. Pluto, if you are reading this, we need another rock album 😭
