- GOTH MERMAID MAKEUP TUTORIAL 💀 Waterproof Gothic Makeup Inspired by Mermaid Phantom (featuring the Moonlight Mermaid makeup from Flower Knows) ✨ How do professional mermaids do their makeup? This video will show you how I do my makeup for my Gothic mermaid character, Mermaid Phantom. Since my typical makeup tutorials can get a bit long, I figured I'd make one that was short and sweet and easy to watch for those of you who prefer not to watch a 20 minute tutorial. While this waterproof makeup tutorial was made with my fellow professional mermaid performers in mind, it can be used by anyone who would like to create a creepy (yet cute) Gothic makeup look that can be worn to the beach or at the pool. For best results, please avoid touching the makeup when in the water- otherwise some of it may be rubbed off by your hand!
This waterproof goth mermaid look was inspired by my own original character, Mermaid Phantom. What other looks would you like me to create? Shall we do Krimzon and Shadow next? Or something else? This was fun to do, so I'll happily take some suggestions!

The tail was custom-made for me and the look was designed entirely by my own dark little imagination. I worked very hard to build this character for my business and I'm quite proud of her. She's what I'm known for. :')

I do not put make-up on because I'm a guy. But the tutorial was good. I like the purple, the sparkle on the eyelids, the black lipstick. I also liked the music. @@TheMagicCrafter I could not find a good video of Celtic music. I have a high school friend who has a heavy metal band. I asked him if he could play Celtic music. I was thinking I could use it when I get my UA-cam up and running this winter/spring. I sent him your new video to give him a good idea. I also told him to listen to a band from Ireland called Waterboys. They do Celtic Rock and sing a fairy poem called the stolen child.

I'm not a freediver merman, but if I'm willing to swim in a good realistic mer-tail, do I have to be a professional swimmer in order to hold the weight?
Hey there! For your safety, I cannot recommend a silicone mermaid tail as a first tail- those are typically the most realistic. I would recommend practicing the technique with Fin Fun Mermaid's basic monofin and a tailskin to go with it. This monofin and tailskin pairing are easy to remove in case of an emergency. Plus, they're a cheap way to get a feel for mermaiding to see if you enjoy it. 😊
If you aren't familiar with the dolphin kick swimming motion, or aren't a strong swimmer, I'd also recommend taking a mermaid tail swimming class for extra safety.
From there, you could eventually move up to different tail and monofin types when you are comfortable and ready for that. 🖤
