    I've had 3 truck campers, currently an Arctic Fox 1150. Snap pads concern me because it is not unusual to have a slight weight shift during loading/unloading having the leg kick an inch or so to relieve the tension in the leg which is way better than to have it fold and bend or collapse. If the leg is gripping the ground/pavement they can't relieve the tension. I'm sure when the rig is settled they're great -- I've had them on several fifth wheels and trailers.

      Oh, ok. That’s a good point and something to think about for sure. We always try to work with level ground but I know what you are talking about. We will be mindful of that whenever we need to offload. Thanks for sharing!

    Wally & Jill I follow you folks all the time and this is another good tip for campers
    I have the exact same camper setup as you, (2023 Arctic Fox 990 & 1999 F350 Dually) and just ordered a set for my rig , another great tip you’ve given me, Thank you , Dave

    I’ve been using short 2x6 blocks for jacks and leveling. I’ve seen those snap pads on 5th wheels with auto leveling. It would be really nice to not hassle with any kind of blocks.

      Hey, Doug! We will have to do a review once we have put them into use and run them through some paces. Like anything out there, I’m sure the term “nothing’s perfect” will apply but I am hoping these will be a good improvement to The Fort.

    Will they level my cot in my tent? If so, I might borrow them next week.

      Perhaps! We will have to explore the possibilities of the SnapPads!

      You are right! We apologize! We have been out of the rig for a month now and haven’t really been able to use them the way we had hoped. But, we are getting back on the road tomorrow and we will get a review done soon!

    Wally, I followed your lead an purchased those snap pads for my 2018 AF1140 but they seem loose! Can you move yours around easily? I ordered the size you posted but I'm not sure if they are the right size for me, they just seem tone moved easily!!

    • @FoxPartyOf3

      They do move easily but they stay on just fine. I thought the same thing when I first got mine. Hope this helps!

      @@FoxPartyOf3 I bought some from trailer but they seem to big so I checked the SnapPad web sight and they said to go with the 5.5inch!! Even though the round jack foot is 5.75inch, they said 5.5inch fits perfect on Reico-titan!! So I'll see if I can get those from e-trailer (same price as SP) Thanks for the reply

      Great! So sorry if we steered you wrong! We are enjoying ours. Definitely feels like we get a good solid footing when we put the jacks down.

      @@FoxPartyOf3 No problem, I should have gone to the source "SnapPad" web sight first, you have a newer TC, ours is a 2018 AF1140 so there may be some slight differences in the feet. I'll let ya know how it all works out. Be safe and have fun!

    how much clearance between snap pad and your dual wheels when off loading the camper

    • @FoxPartyOf3
      @FoxPartyOf3  6 місяців тому +1

      Full disclosure: we have not offloaded the camper with the new snap pads on. Wally wants to go out in the middle of the storm and offload so he can answer your question 😂. I will say that we have 17” tires so we don’t expect it to be a problem but we will let you know! We will be offloading on 4/18.
