Climbing further into Upper Manang. Thankfully, the road got easier the higher we went. Started to get a bit more confident and comfortable on the bike. I'd softened the suspension of the Crossfire before we set out and that made it much easier on the rough trails. After a hard day previously, I was looking forward to an easier day in the saddle.
Once again, both bikes had performed perfectly. The only issue I had was I was using a lot of fuel. But that's just because I was a bit too throttle happy!

You've got big big balls,MAN! It's Awesome.
*I am enjoying every bit of this...*
you guys rocked it , cross fire definitely is a best bike
AWESOME!!
PRETTY!!
COOL!!
Nicee!
Really do enjoy your videos!
Sarun Ghimire Thanks bro 🖒
Bennie Hitchcock 😁
Wow luv the view at Last Beautiful Lake soon :)
Great video - me and some mates will be there soon, on the same bikes too, riding to Manang! Any tips/suggestions/must see bits? We've got 6.5 days riding from Pokhara! Thanks
did you hire that croossfire?if so than how much did it cost for the journey ride
Respect to you guys. Loved it. I didn't like the part where you drove through the alleyways of Manang. Thought it to be a bit too much. There's children walking & playing in these streets. The Nepali themselves do not drive their scooters within the old part of Manang. For the rest: awesome!
Am planning to do the trip in VR150. Ive watched your previous video in a VR therefore asking for an advice. Power is low but do you reckon the suspension of a VR would do well compared to the cross fire. Would be very grateful for your advice Bennie. Awesome vids btw. Do keep making more.
And is crossfire more long lasting bike, I mean more durable than Honda crf250l? We have another bike to compare is CrossX250SE. I have heard that for daily use after 2-3 years the bike will have much problems on its engine, like on crf250r.
where did u hire them n how much did it take for u.
it is nice asiawing crossfire
How long far from Ktm to Tilicho lake ..
How did you manage fuel
Fantastic video
Did you carry any spare parts or any kind of emergency repair kit (like JB weld, ductape, zipties, oil)
and how did you find a place to sleep at the end of Video 1?
Did you just knock at peoples houses?
I guess the camera wasn´t rolling, but how long did it take you from the end of video 1, until you reached the place where you slept?
I had some cable ties and basic tools. I also carried a spare throttle cable just in case. Didn't need to use any of it, except the screwdriver to adjust the suspension.
After the video ends, we made it to the town of Dharapani about 15 mins later. They have some guest houses/hotels there. We stayed at the Three sister guest house in Dharapani. I had a huge plate of tuna and pasta (which was pretty good actually) and then went to bed. We stayed there on the way back also. The lady owner was lovely and we spent the evening with some locals huddled around the cooking furnace drinking raksi (rice wine).
thanks for the answer,
the video is really amazing, much more colourful than the usual videos you get of Guys riding to Nepal on Enfields.
It looks like a weird mixture of Switzerland, with road conditions of the early 18th century plus India.
Do you speak the local language or how did you do it?
Because I might be able to pay for flight and rent a bike, but I don´t know anybody in India and don´t speakt any of the languages
You'd be surprised how many people can speak English in Nepal, especially the younger generation. Most guest houses and towns you stop in will have someone who knows what you're on about. But yeah, knowing a few words and phrases of Nepali can help
Wow,
Hey u still in Nepal??
Can you say which one is better in performance & durability in between Honda CRF250l or Crossfire xz250rr? I want to buy but don't have any idea which one is better, so can you clear me out?
abiskar thapa Completely different bikes really. The crf250l isn't really a pure off road bike. it's a much better everyday road bike compared to the cross fire. it's less powerful and is in a lighter state of tune and has a larger oil capability so would be less maintainence overall I would say. Cross fire is the one to go for if you want to ride hard off road. Crf250l is a better everyday bike for the road I think.

Was that Tilicho Lake at the end of the video +Bennie Hitchcock?
No, Tilicho is a few hours walk away apparently. Not sure if we could get there on the bikes
bennie Hitchcock not in bikes , there is a steepy foot trails only :)
nope its a gangapurna lake
how many days did it take to finish the trail
Hee Man Grg From Kathmandu to upper Manang and back to pokhara took 3 days. Probably about 2 full days spent on the dirt. Final day we rode about 200kms back to Kathmandu. 4 day trip in total. Awesome experience! If you leave Kathmandu about 8am, you could get to Chame in one day easy on the crossfire I reckon.
how did you manage to fuel the small tank?
Mr. Tsewang With great difficulty! Haha! Nah, it wasn't that bad really. We managed to pick up fuel in Upper Manang. I wanted to travel as light as possible and didn't want to strap anything to the bike, so we didn't carry any fuel.
haha! then i think i dont have to worry about carrying a fuel
How about old Xr and Xlr bikes on those roads...?
pravin shanki They'd do ok I reckon. They're quite light and have soft suspension, so I think they'd probably do better than the crf250l on the rough stuff. The crossfire is much more sophisticated though and will be much better on the dirt than an old XR. I used to have an xr600. That'd be a sweet bike for these trails. Overheating can be an issue with old air cooled XR’s though
yeah..I´m frm nepal and takin about availability...crossfire is chinese but better than hartford vr 200 I guess...
I took a Hartford to Muktinath 4 years ago. The thing would barely make it up the hill! Granted it was only the 150. But both hartfords have poor suspension and brakes, are too heavy and too under powered for serious off road riding. Good road bikes though. I did about 750km on that vr150. The only issue i had was a worn front sprocket.
Yes the Crossfire is Chinese. Much like an Iphone is made in China, the Crossfire is designed by people who know their shit. Its one Chinese bike I'd be happy to own.
wow... there was more...
Probably another 2 parts to come. I start to pick up the pace a bit in part 3 ;)
Bennie Hitchcock I'll be waiting then. and I'm guessing that you and I have got the same problem. don't wanna let the throttle go. or I'm wrong.
Haha! Yeah pretty much! While at times I really was trying to conserve fuel, most of the time I just wanted to have fun and crawling along in 3rd gear isn't my idea of fun, certainly not with a bike like the Crossfire.
Kawasaki versus 650 might have done a better job of you would have got one... Would it not... It's got a bigger tank and all adventure stuff.
You can't get bikes like that over there. Best dual sport you'll find will be a CR250l. But even that is 30kgs more than the crossfire and 7hp down. Not sure i'd fancy wrestling a KLR up some of those hill climbs. Both crashes I had on the crossfire happened at decent speeds, but the bike survived them. I'm not sure a big adventure bike would have fared as well. Apparently there's a larger fuel tank for the crossfire on the way. Possibly aftermarket. 14-15ltrs would do fine I reckon
