On the brightside even though both ended up getting cancelled at least the rebooted Dynasty ended with no clif hanger unlike the original that ended with Alexis and Dex falling off the balcony.
I always thought the reboot Dynasty series felt more like a telenovela than a prime time soap opera, this ending was totally a telenovela style ending! The main villain got a humiliating defeat, the rest of the main characters all got a happy ending, and it ends with a party scene.
The main villain being adam? I would beg to differ *Cough* Alexis *Cough* Buuuuuuut that scene with her and dex in the forest made me audibly "aw" And i hate hate HATE alexis with all my being So they did a good job on making alexis somewhat likeable in the end
You know I'm glad it ended like this... With everyone happy But maybe it was best for Adam to be out of the manor maybe he will finally be happy on his own without the rivalry and stuff.... But it would be interesting if they have a spinoff show for him because one thing or another Amanda and him are living in the same place

My opinion only, but, I didn't like what they did with Adam in the final season, Since halfway through the third season he had gone through redemption arc, and the best example was his relationship with Kirby (which ended only because of Alexis' scheme and Kirby's addiction, Adam was surprisingly the victim in that ending), the whole arc of him helping Cristal with the tumor, even saving her life, and when he went to save Black and Anders, even offering to stay behind. At the end of the fourth season, when Amanda arrived, the series hinted that she had a hidden plan, and Adam was the only one to realize it, but when the fifth season came, this whole Amanda plot seemed to have been discarded and they decided to do the villainous Adam again. It would be cool if in the end, Adam himself brought Steven back, confessed everything he did and in the end was forgiven. And the best episodes were the ones where Fallon and Adam worked together. It was Alexis who should have been banished from the family, until today I have not accepted that there were no consequences for her having caused Cristal's miscarriage.

I overall enjoyed the series. Like everyone was funny and did pretty good in each episode. This show got serious when it needed to be and funny when it needed to be. I did not get tired or annoyed with the characters and enjoyed every one of them and the episodes. I am sad it ended, but every good thing has an end to it right? I actually hate watched this show but enjoyed the finale (aside from Adam basically getting away with his crap in this last episode). The difference was the characters actually acted like human beings, not caricatures and walking talking attitudes. Or extended SNL skits. I only wished they had ended the show with a big reveal. Like having Joan Collins as Alexis' Mom eating caviar and drinking champagne winking at the audience. They tried desperately to stand on their own by being sooo American. They never had a Brit cameo like cousin Sable. Oh well at least they tried to bring a little bit of glamour back to the small screen. I missed those shows. Long live Dynasty!

This version of Dynasty was like a coloring book version of a Star Wars movie. The tone, writing, and acting were so bland. It was stronger the first season but then went to a slushy dramedy. So many missed opportunities.
I still question why the producers were making Adam a better person during seasons 3 and 4 only to make him bad again at the end. I would have preferred that he bring Steven back and apologize to him, and that Alexis be banished from the mansion instead of Adam for causing Cristal's abortion and killing Mark. It bothers me that she has not paid the consequences of her actions.
