    Quick comment to improve video quality: Your audio is very low compared to other videos on UA-cam. You may think that's not a big deal, since people can turn up their volume etc., but consistency is more important. In my situation, your video is still a bit quiet at 100%, while I watch other videos at 30%. Now usually that's not an issue, until you forget to turn down the volume when starting a new video, or when you have a notification (on PC) play during the video. Those will be pretty darn loud. I'd highly recommend trying to match up the volume of your videos to a couple of random videos on YT to see if you're at a comparable volume. Maybe YT even has a system for that? I don't know.
    Obviously, this is just my opinion and you can do with it whatever you like.

    When using the pallet truck, try and push it all the way into the pallet, especially on a standard ISO pallet (EuroPAL’s are a different ball game) that will move the turning point further back, and make it easier to steer.
    Another useful tip, is you can steer with the handle in the upright position if pushing a pallet backwards like that, makes it so much easier to do.
    Other random info, the red pallet is from LPR (La Palette Rouge), the brown one is from IPP (International Pallet Pooling) and the blue one is a CHEP (Commonwealth Handling and Equipment Pool, operated by GKN here in the UK)
    The dimensions of these pallets are mainly governed by two ISO standards, ISO 6780 and ISO 445.

    Maybe a coffee or 2 before the voiceover would be beneficial. Nothing bad about showing a little excitement about what your doing. Show the passion that you obviously have that spurs you on to do all this work by yourself & motivates you to get up in the morning.
    Sorry to be the ahole in the comments but it set the vibe as depressing for me.

    One request, if it's not too much trouble; please turn up the volume on your microphone, since it's quite hard to hear you. I turn up the volume on my computer, but then, when commercials interrupt you, they are very loud.

      Good shout, but sadly the roof itself is water tight. Our issue is condensation on the metal roof skin dripping down onto the internal skin. It’s best if we let it just do its thing and evaporate out for the few months of the year it’ll be a problem 👍🏻

      @@m9workshop Only cure for that is underlay beneath the metal roof--should have been done when it was installed--only way to do it now is to take the metal off, lay the underlay over the purlins, and refit the metal. Really, that's something the landlord is responsible for.

    Are you slightly concerned about the wobble of your air tank on a pallet? I get having it maneuverable, but is there a chance it could topple? In US terms it appears ever so slightly janky.

    • @m9workshop
      @m9workshop  Рік тому +1

      Not really - it literally can't fall over because the pipe connection between the compressor and the tank is so solid and the compressor weighs about 1/3 of a ton. I put a couple lags through the tank feet back into the pallet, and when I do move it again I'll throw a ratchet strap around it for belts and braces :)

    Nice work! Always good to see a workshop being built. I read in the comments you're already working on the audio. I have some experience in that field and I'd recommend applying some light compression and then bringing the level up, 10dB or so more wouldn't hurt. Something else I've noticed is that you do your voice-over in a very low voice where you don't really produce a full, round tone. Speaking with more volume might help with intelligibility because to speak louder the pitch must go up a bit. I'd love to see which sliding panel saw you got, I'm hoping to buy one myself before the summer. If it needs air it's probably a pretty sweet machine :)
