Salute to "all the nurses" who are told you know nothing, don't do enough or its your fault. Someone has to be the fall guy and the fire that flickers burn eternal.
I can't imagine doing anything else for my profession than nursing. I love being a nurse. I give my patients (who happen to be prisoners) 100% all the time.
I'm in the "trenches" with patient care, though I am not a nurse (I'm a Respiratory Therapist). I've also had 2 knees replaced, so I've been on the other side of the bed, too. Let me tell you, the nurse is the backbone, heart and soul of the health care professions, They do more to take care of people than you'll ever know, the most important is being an advocate who stands between the patient and the lethal potential of medicine. My hat is off to each and every one of them. G-d bless you all.
I am a nurse who does work hard, speaks English and can pronounce Penicillin. I give my patients 110% every shift. Nurses are there for their patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are expected to do more for less, take pay and benefit cuts and do so without ever losing site of what is important OUR PATIENTS. Instead of bashing them try thanking them. We help usher you into this life and hold your hand at the end.
That is NOT the majority. I am a nurse for over 20 yrs. I also LOVE animals so much that I wrote a book about them...to teach others compassion for them. Most people who would hurt an animal are not nurses...they are disgruntled, mean & cruel. Most nurses DO give a damn or they wouldnt keep doing it. The few that dont care...usually burn out and cant last in the profession. The board of nursing doesnt tolerate irresponsible nurses.
Just watching this to help motivate myself in my new job as an occupational health nurse...the nursing profession in my country sucks so bad in my country that I felt like choosing it ruined my career life. :(
I cry a lot after watching this, I am a nurse, before I've never knew why I am a nurse, but now I realize that because an appreciation from the patients is my encouragement to give the best care with these hands. :)
I love this video thanks to who ever made it I can say honstly Ive dreamed of being a nurse since i was 5 years old and I can say know matter wether Im caring for pedatrics the elderly, or inmates in a jail I give the same care and THESE HANDS KEEP DREAMS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nurses are the BEST!!!
That's where you're wrong. A lot of nurses do truly care about their patients. Granted, there are some who couldn't care less about the people they treat, but that doesn't mean we all do.
Thank you sooooo very much, this is a very touching video. It depicts the hearts of the genuine nurses with purpose and encourages us so much. Sometimes, as a nurse we feel we can't do enough when we are working so hard to make a difference in one persons life, it gets so hard, all we can do is say a quiet prayer, wipe away a tear and try to cover our own inner pain as we try to comfort and nurse those around us. I can't say thank you enough for your support....I LOVE BEING A NURSE!!!!
Nurse's have hard jobs, most of them are nice. However there are some that are worthless. Ive had a 99.5% success rate with good nurses thus far lol. If there were no nurses tomorrow, I am afraid my doctor would have a mental breakdown and go crazy when he has to do 3 times the work haha
funnny thing about males and nursing. the first nurses were all males. it wasnt until about 150 years ago it went to a "female" profession. most first nurses were monks.
Most nurses that I've dealt with have a marginal grasp of English, don't want to be "bothered" by patients, or spend more time texting rather than doing their jobs. Yes, nurses must do more for less, take pay cuts, blah blah blah. My question is "Who doesn't?" Stop singling yourselves out as gods and martyrs. Most nurses are crabby old witches or young women who have zero skills or social graces. Remember--YOU SIGNED UP TO BE A NURSE. I give the video a 10 on the cheesefest scale.
Did you have a bad experience with a nurse or something? What happened? Nursing is a very tough job. I'm debating whether or not I should become an elementary school teacher or a nurse (I'm a senior in high school).......any advice?
I accept some nurses are great and really do care but most couldn't give a damn about their patients and are not fit to look after animals never mind humans .
How about the next time those of you who bitch about nurses not caring for their patients consider their treatment? They get abused (verbally and physically- at times) yelled at, miss meal breaks and bathroom breaks, they brave the weather and the holidays and more. Yes, this is what they chose. However, seems like some of you should try being a nurse, or even working as an aide and see our side of things. Nursing isn't an easy profession, nor is it for the weak of mind and character.
Are you serious? I think that anyone who is working to help people have the right to have a tribute video... anyways it's on youtube, you have the choice to not watch it.
You as a nurse, unless you are an LPN, do not provide technical expertise! You provide theoretical expertise utilizing principles of science taught to your through your academic preparation. A tech is a professional who pushes buttons and runs diagnostic tests. Nurses do not solely run tests but rather assess and analyze the results taking prompt appropriate intervention after critical thinking! We are Registered Professional Nurses. Not registered Technical Nurses!

Thank you from the bottom of your heart good nurises
Exactly. I have been a nurse for over 20 yrs. It is awesome to see this video and actually feeling appreciated, from people other than our patients.
Its songs like these, that makes me grateful to be a nurse

I feel so fulfilled being a nurse. Kudos to nurses everywhere.
Wow, I'm not even a nurse and that made me proud.
ALL male nurses I know are badasses. They can tackle a combative 300lb patient in a heartbeat (without inflicting additional harm, of course..lol).

i agree.
Hater. I'm sure a nurse took care of you once and treated you with dignity and caring. Granted, it probably took every thing in her to do it.
Inspiring ad.
I'd love to see a video made by nurses saluting their managers and hospital admin ahahahahahahahhahahah
Just like the choice you have not to read the comments .
But getting back to the point, believe me,not all nurses deserve a tribute video .

This makes me regret going into dentistry. People fucking hate us!!! Smh

You should try it. I feel pretty sure you couldn't last a week.

Funny. I didn't see a single male nurse in this video. Seems there is still a lot of discrimination in the profession.
Just keep quiet there mate
How about this lot keep quiet and just do the job eh ?
