Thank God for nurses! They saved my life with their skill and gave me strength to fight another day with their compassion! They literally loved me back to health. I owe my life and my heart to my nurses!
Long term care nurse here. I may feel like I work too much sometimes, but if I'm honest with myself, I wouldn't have it any other way. The world is an ugly place, but my job gives me the chance to fight back against that and make it better for other people. You might not change the world, but you might just change the patch of earth you stand on. Never quit. Always a nurse.

I was a nurse for 50 yrs, so loved my vocation. I had breast cancer late in life and all the care and empathy I had given to my past patients flowed back to me with the care I recieved. I’d always accepted my vocation as I had a calling for it and never at the time realised how great I was. Now at 73 yrs of age and looking back I’m so happy I gave my life to humanity. I have saved many lives and didn’t even think twice about it till now. I would literally run for 8hrs a shift to get my work done.
Where would we be without nurses? All through the pandemic, through every war, and every day in the ERs and hospitals...where would we be? They are there when you come into the world...when you're injured and ill...and when you are at the end of your journey...they are always there. Not sure we can really thank them nearly enough.
I’m a retired police officer, there is no one I admire and love more than nurses, it brings a tear to my eyes thinking about you all. I have not seen a group of caregivers that take on someone else’s will to live when that someone may not have that will themselves at that time and that’s above and Beyond the amazing medical care that nurses nurses give. Where I saw some awful things when I left the scene it was a memory. You nurses see such pain in people you get to know, go home sometimes in pain yourselves just to get up and go back in the next day, you are my hero’s. Thank you for who you are
Susan, thank you for you 35 years, and from where we stand, it didn’t take the pandemic for us to see the good nurses do or how much they mean to this world. It’s simply the most appropriate climate to express our thank you.
I agree, no one has ever even commented on my profession (27 yrs as a RN) until Covid. I don't mind really because I am not a nurse to get recognition. I get enough from those I care for and that is what matters to me.
Even in more normal times, nurses are the ones who care for us and heal us in the hospitals. They are the trained troops who are on duty even when no specialized skill is required nor is there any emergency demanding drastic intervention nor is there movement among depts. for testing. They are the CRNAs who are our air-traffic controllers keeping us alive during surgery. And they often must wear masks in their particular discipline, as do many welders, painters, carpenters, landscapers, and many other professionals all day long without whining about it. Masks on and hats off to them and drop treats at the local hospital to thank them once again.
Thank you for your life's work! If you think about the lives of patients and their families in which you touched, it would be in the MILLIONS!!! A life well lived!

Hi Lynne- It was the CT Center for Nursing Workforce that reached out to the Manager of Brown & Gray to request that a song be created to celebrate the Year of the Nurse and Midwife! This song was written with nurses and nurse educators like you around the globe in mind!

I work ER and hearing this made me tear up. People don't think of what the medical staff has been through this past year especially nurses. We will forever have psychological issues from this pandemic.

This is amazing! And all the nurses I know, and watching the interactions and selflessness is what inspired me to want to be a nurse. Im going through my nursing program through this pandemic, and it makes me even prouder that this is the profession I'm going into.
Now that the pandemic is officially over, I still thank my fellow nurses for everything they do. We are exhausted, we work horrible hours, we work overtime, and are even more short staffed than before the pandemic. We also are struggling with our own sense of loss and lack of faith in a healthcare system that let us down because of politics in this country. We went in and still go in to do our jobs but face angry patients and families, rising healthcate costs, fewer resources, rising mental health issues, and we still do our jobs to the best of our abilities. Please don't thank us or sing songs praising us, but help us change the system for the better for all.
most likely those that don't want to be told to wear masks.. hopefully they're not actually disliking the song. ? but who knows.. haters gonna hate. Thank you for the love, Alix. And thank you for what you do!
2020 Plan: Graduate, pass boards, go to work, all by Summer. March 2020 hits, and school changes, NCLEX changes, getting a license changes. Do I move forward in the middle of a pandemic??? Do I really want to be a Nurse in a Pandemic?? >> You bet I do. Got a job in a Covid Unit too! Since Covid is my beginning, hopefully, it will get easier from here! Thanks for your support.
Listening to this today and sobbing. As a nurse, my heart is so heavy these days. It's hard to keep going sometimes. But I was called for this and will never give up. I will keep loving and caring until there's no breath left in my lungs. I wish so desperately for an end to this pandemic. I wish we had the support we need right now. Universe, give me grace and strength for the rest of this journey. Be safe everyone. ♡
Well this is a very nice song and it’s very flattering to nurses all over the USA i would assume. I would just like to clarify one thing though...I HAD TO, just to keep it a buck, I had to pay the bills. With that said I’m only a doctor but I was a nurse practitioner at one time and it’s flattering.
Whonose, We’re hoping this lifts frontline workers worldwide. When we had the privilege of partnering with Nurses Everywhere, we jumped at the opportunity to help them say thank you. While you say you had to for the money, showing up to your job doesn’t mean you have to show up with a good attitude. It doesn’t mean you have to go the extra mile with your patients.. and this specifically is what we’re saying thank you for. We appreciate your humility, but also believe you too are to be thanked.

Love this! Thank you guys! #NursesRock
YES, THEY DO!
Hold up, who would actually give this a thumbs down?! Anyway, thank you for the song! I love what I do.
most likely those that don't want to be told to wear masks.. hopefully they're not actually disliking the song. ? but who knows.. haters gonna hate.
BLESS YOU and your brave, selfless decision! We pray it DOES get easier from here in MANY ways for ALL of us.
I needed this. Thanks guys. I feel seen.
Thank you for this song… made me cry… so close to walking away after 34 years…so tired…in bed with Covid. But…I will keep going for YOU ❤
Listening to this today and sobbing. ♡
im proud for working in the hospital
Thank you, because YOU didn’t have to 😊. As a nurse, I appreciate you. Thanks for the much needed inspiration
@@browngray1320 you guys just cannot be disliked by anyone even if they tried. I can tell you are truly genuine and sincere and I was obviously just being light hearted in the midst of all this craziness we all are dealing with today. I believe if you stay true and stay genuine you will be a very successful band. and when you say thank you, I will just say...it is an honor to do what I do.
🙏
Rich, we’re glad you like it!
Nurses need a National Pension

hello friends Thanks for a pleasant video
I would like to sing this at my on line zoom open mic night. I am a retired nurse resurrected for the purpose of administering vaccine in the covid clinics. I have done 4 huge clinics so far and visited nursing homes to vaccinate the residents and staff. Would you be able to let me know the chords you are using. I am starting on a D. Of course I will credit you. Many thanks. Julia.x.
Hi Julia, Kaci here.. HOW FUN! I just learned this on piano the other day myself. Because I'm not sitting in front of it, I'm having Sam bring the guitar in..
Verse 1 - D A Bmin G Pre - A G Chorus - D A Bmin G THANK YOU THANK YOU bit is over the same progression
Let us know if you have any questions :) and we'd LOVE to see this, if you happen to record it ;)
Thank you so very much. I will sing this next week on our zoom open mic. Maybe my friend will record it.
Strange times, but your song is so uplifting.
My darling doctor husband is asleep on the floor infront of the TV. Not sure whether to leave him or wake him to come to bed. He is exhausted.
