  • This video is in response to a viewer request to demonstrate alternative boolean operators with the compound mask. In this video we apply the subtract operator and other tools to removing a background from a portrait in a precise way.

    Awesome, thanks for answering my request with such a great example. This is a novel way to cut out an object and I look forward to trying this out myself.

    Another follow up question, this technique would be a great candidate to automate via a macro. I tried but could not make it work. It seems that the operators disappear when I incorporate the compound mask steps into a macro. Hoping it’s just my newness and that you or someone in the group can break the code.

      Hello I have not tried using compound masks with macros. But that will be very interesting to test. It also could be a bug.
