My understanding is that one of the basic differences between the Chevy and Ford was that Ford built the A with a steel body while Chevy used wood with steel strips. The Chevy’s were prone to rot out while the Fords were more durable. You may want to explore these car’s construction and body’s.

I think the Chevy if one is going for distance wanting to carry stuff plus that motor may have a oil pump. Ford for simplicity and short distance just has scoop and splash oiling. Thanks for the presentation !
Speaking of drilling a hole in the dash of the A. Reminds me of a fella drilling a hole in the trunk of a limo to drain the condensate water from the rear ac.
I have a 31 Ford Slant Window Sedan, daily drive her gets 16MPG city, have installed the 3:54 rear Mitchel Overdrive, cast iron drums, 35 Fiord Wheel 16" radial tires and front and rear panard bars, plus high 5.6 head, runs absolutely great i rebuild entire car plus restored about 5 Model As, I do like the Chevys but too much wood, my 31 is all steel except the roof and that is the reason for all the Model As still around the old Chevys just rotted away 😂

Got a childhood soft spot for late '30s and 40's Chevrolet trucks - but nothing beats a Model A. Brass T's are pretty good too though.

Does have more storage. Think engine is pressure to mains. But dip rods. Could be wrong being awhile since I had one apart.

Chevy out sold Ford but they were not very well built and did not run or last as long. Be hard pressed to find many 30's Chevy's now days.
Think they only made 1200 Chevy Landau. So yes rare to see a Chevy. Thx for watching
