From where do I download the model, and which directory do I need to copy it to? I have the latest version of Kdenlive, and all the menuing is there, but no model is listed.
I tried subtitle/speech recognition on a Windows 10 machine and it told me I need to add a speech model. I went to the suggested website, but it looked like the process was WAY above my pay-grade. Is it really that difficult?
I loaded Kdenlive last Spring along with Ubuntu. It works well, but it is version 21.?, To load Kdenlive 24.02 do I have to remove the old version? Not sure how to do this. Comments? Ken
The subtitle editor allows you to pick the font, point size, color, outlines, and placement. Once you select this, it is persistent across projects until you change it.
I'm doing the installation now and am trying to get everything lined up so it will work properly. The Kdenlive online manual specifies what you need to do to get this all set up. One thing you'll need to do is install Python.

I just updated my existing version but you can always uninstall and re-install if updates don't work for some reason.
Does it allow you to change the font?

downloaded the model but when i try to use it in the config it just closes the window and dosent do much

Thank you for this tutorial of kdenlive it has many features some I never used before. Cool to know that it has speech recognition
