How often is the water pumping through the buckets?
I'm stuffing around with a few different ways with mixed results

My temperatures are much lower than yours in Qld, so I'll discuss my set up first.
I am currently running an 800 lt/hr aquarium pump on the winter veggies.
I water three time a day at the moment, but if the temperature is a couple of degrees higher I pump four times.
The pump runs for 15 minutes each time on an analogue timer.
I dropped the size of the pump to the smaller one as I was using the larger one (2500 lt/hr) that I use for the 40 dutch ducket tomatoes, but it was over filling the 30 current buckets and the excess was running out on to the floor.
So that required regular refilling of the reservoir.
With your 30 degree days I would be pumping four or five times throughout the day and the growth would be spectacular.
Warmth, sunlight and lots of feeding = fast growing crop.
Let me know how you get on.
      Thanks for your comment.

@@theshadehousegardener3940 That makes sense. I have a new mini system setup for tomatoes and its connected to a solar pump so will go on continually during the day and off at night.. see any major issues with that?

@@paulstingrayGardening , that sounds good. If we had sun every day down here I would be using a solar setup for my pumps also.
Just looked at you new solar setup and it looks pretty cool.
      Subscribed.
