The deluxe pterosaurs have long been my favourite of Collecta's lines. I know a lot of people dislike the size, but I love it, they make great centerpieces. As for your question, like others have already suggested I've thought a 1:1 scale Anurognathus would be a great idea for a while now. My only concern, and one of few criticisms I have in general, is that Collecta errs on the thin/underfluffed side with their pterosaurs. They'd need to bulk up the pycnofibres on Anurognathus to really pull it off IMO. Two other taxa I'd also love to see are Ctenochasma and Pterodactylus. For one, they're both small genera, which I prefer for the deluxe pterosaurs because it makes them closer to life-size. Ctenochasmatids are such a fascinating clade of pterosaurs in both appearance and lifestyle - Ctenochasma itself or perhaps Gnathosaurus would be my picks due to the aforementioned size and because they really exemplify the group as a whole. On the other hand Pterodactylus, despite its primacy as the first pterosaur discovered, is massively overlooked nowadays. It deserves an up to date model. Cheers
Looking forward to this! You should have worn it on your shoulder Mike! Dsungaripterus or pterodaustro would be ideal for the sake of variation. or a life-size anurognathuas?
I must admit I'd have preferred it in the prototype size! More manageable for a larger and ever-expanding collection! But I like it and its gannet "clothes". My urgent desire for a pterosaur model: Anurognathus or any of its anurognathid relatives. They are crying out for representation in model form! And very well suited to a large scale model.
Thank you for your comment, an Anurognathus seems to be a popular suggestion, the problem might be how not to make this model too cute.. Thanks for your input.
For a future pterosaur model; I would LOVE to see a life-sized Rhamphorhynchus model on all fours. Rhamphorhynchus is not only my favorite pterosaur, but mainly; it’s also (generally) just such an interesting and unique pterosaur, it’s not “too” large or whatever in size, and it would be extremely interesting to see one in life-sized model form like we have with so many other pterosaur models in the past. So that’s my request/suggestion for a future CollectA pterosaur model.
Another great figure from Collecta! I follow Collecta products every year. Collecta figures are always accurate and pleasant to the eye and are also more affordable. If I could choose a new Pterosaur, I’d definitely choose Hatzegopteryx. I bought Quetzalcoatlus many years ago and I would literally kill to see a deluxe Azhdarchidae❤
Thanks for your two pterosaur suggestions, really interesting ideas - making the likes of a ctenochasmatoid or a wukongopterid, these would extend the types of pterosaurs available in mainstream model series considerably.
As for pterosaurs, I’d like a Tropeognathus and a Rhamphorhynchus from CollectA. But only if they’re not huge. If only the actual Dearc figure was the size of the prototype I’d likely get it (still very big), the figure that will be released is too huge for me to consider…
We thought if we showed a prototype then we might get comments about the actual figure being produced in a smaller scale😀thanks for your pterosaur suggestions.
If I would have to choose a new pterosaur, it would depend on its size. These models are cool but I don't buy them due to space reasons, but if they will do an italian pterosaur (and there are many interesting choices) or Anurognathus, which is small enough to be made in 1:1 scale I would gladly make an exception. If they would make something on the same or similar scale of P. sternbergi I would love them to make Quetzalcoatlus or an updated Hatzegopteryx.
For some future Pterosaurs I would love to see CollectA tackle Caulkicephalus, Pterodaustro, and Mythunga
Wow! great suggestions.

Great idea to put in my shoulder, not sure how safe it would be for the prototype! Thanks for your pterosaur suggestions.

@@Everythingdinosaurdotcom Anurognathus would be cool! Pterosaurs aside, a Yi or Halszkaraptor would be amazing too, and very unique.
@@AndyCog_1710 Great suggestions - thanks!
awesome little figure!
Thanks for your comment.
I will be purchasing this figure for certain

Good suggestion, thanks for your input.
CollectA has now a Hatzegopteryx model just that's an older model and not deluxe.
@@sceli2 thanks for your input.
Amazing model. My suggestion is Pterodaustro in pink color.
A pink Pterodaustro - like a flamingo - super suggestion.
Maybe CollectA could make a Darwinopterus or Ardeadactylus in future?
