The Huawei in your test is accessing 4G on one interface and then routing it over Wifi on another interface. Doing more than double the work of the iPhone connecting directly to 4G. If you wanted to do a true comparative test, you should have run the iPhone in Hotspot mode, and done all the speed tests from a laptop.
You missed the point of these routers a bit. You seem to think that their main benefit is sharing a single sim card - but you can do that from your phone directly by setting it up as a mobile hotspot. The benefit of these things is that, in areas with very bad signal strength, you can set up an external antenna and get *way* faster speeds than your phone can provide in those low-signal conditions. Yes, they can be convenient private networks on the go (for laptops and tablets etc) but a phone can do that too. Try going somewhere with very poor signal strength and doing your tests again.
So.. testing internal vs external antenna when you have 4-5 bars is pointless, even if you had set the router to actually use them. Go somewhere you have no signal then put it on a tree stump or something with no aerial then vs an aerial. Then set your speed to read in MB/s like the rest of everyone who dont know what mbps is and assume its the same (Meters vs CMs)
you need to know what LTE Bands the antennas is compatible with. also dont judge your signal by how many bars you have. the web interface of your 4G hotspot should give you data about the signal strenght

@@Dan_The_Paper a bit late 🤣 already came back from the wilderness, actually used a stronger mobile signal repeater, raised the antenna all the way to the roof (mountainous area, the only location that had a good enough direct view towards a mobile tower miles away) and had a repeater inside.. had to use a lot of aluminium foil to block the antenna from cannibalising it's own repeater signal and just got an unlimited internet phone plan.. it wasn't perfect, the ping was all over the place, but I could do some surfing and watch youtube and connect to friends and family

Calm down people no one is compelled to tell you anything, you can google it yourselves. Anyways, for the lazy folks out there just go into your router settings. It should normally be under: Advanced Settings > System > System Settings > Antenna Settings and choose between Internal, External, Mix or Auto. If you can't find it then check the router's website to be sure there is an antenna settings in the first place, otherwise no luck!
good day to you. may i know the model of your pocket wifi? coZ other pocket wifi has no antenna connector and nid it to modify.. thanks more power and godbless.
Sorry, finger down! The proper test would be to put your phone by at least 10m away from the router. Then you would probably see a different picture. If there are lots of wifi access points around you then there is an interference between them. That's probably why your iPhone is having much faster downlink directly with your mobile provider. The mobile 4G network (broadband) is a very different technology than WiFi 2.4GHz (with only 3 channels basically). Also, in the much better test you would use 5GHz WiFi (if this router supports it).

I personally don‘t like that he hasn‘t checked if it has chosen the internal antennas or the external ones (some routers have to be configured first to use a external antenna). The nearby phone shouldn‘t have a large effect on the mobile signal as in Denmark there are usually 4 or 5 component carriers available (Band 1, 3, 8, 20 and 28, sometimes Band 7) and that if a phone is connected to a working WiFi network, it will connect to a low-band LTE/NR cell in order to safe power and the cell will only aggregate some spectrum to the phone (LTE is based on so-called resource blocks with 200kHz bandwidth each and usually in standby mode, only 6 Ul RBs are aggregated). So interference from the phone shouldn‘t be a large deal.
Restart it, And if not contact your provider. Try putting sim in another phone see if the problem is with your device.. If not then problem is with provider definitely
