It does NOT need to be removed !! It is a compliment !! Started the band with a dear friend, Roland Robinson ( Memphis bass player I meant when we played with the Buddy Miles Express together. His best friend was the drummer, Jerry Norris, a human locomotive WITH the taste and chops! The guitar player was a good friend I meant in San Francisco - Steve Busfield - a few years before I played with Buddy. The singer was Carl Sims who could have been the next Otis Redding/Dennis Edwards (Dennis the infamous lead singer of the Temptations). WE were "THREE BROTHERS" AND TWO WHITE GUYS" !! LOL !! We LOVED Mountain as one could tell. BUT we were also based musically off of the Memphis, Tennessee and the REAL black country blues that were played on porches in the country outside of Memphis. Roland and Jerry played on many hits out of Stax Studios (The Memphis Sound). Note. Carl got kicked off the flight that the Barkays were for a concert (The Barkeys got killed on) for messing with someone's girlfriend and because of that .... he lived !! Roland and Jerry played on hits of Issac Hayes, Eddie Floyd and other big "Memphis Sound" stars. Roland had meant with Mick Jagger after Bill Wyman (bass player for you "youngin's" - the Stones left. Roland country blues and the Stones type music (where the Stones got there inspiration anyway - i.e. - Memphis country blues and real out in the woods blues club, would have fit in perfectly and Roland would still be a REAL member of the Stones and a HUGE addition because of his true knowledge of down home country rock and blues (where it came from) and great writing ability ! We recorded the above Album and found out all our money to sign, was stolen! Will NOT mention names !!! Roland and I went on to co-write with Rod Stewart his hit "Infatuation". AND the rather out of place "piano piece" was kinda a transition from your truly being a concert pianist to RnR, R&B and Blues. Always played rock and jazz but why on thei Album??? ......... ahhh ".... we waz high I guess !! LOL !!! Thank you for the complimets !! There will be test later !!! LOL !! Duane Hitchings

Hard rock with soulful vocals, I really like this album. It’s a shame that this band and many others didn’t get the recognition that they deserved. I’m really glad that this channel exists and that I found it. THANK YOU FOR GIVING THIS FORGOTTEN MUSIC A NEW AUDIENCE!!! Peace, Love, and Blessings from your Hillbilly Brother in Wild Wonderful West Virginia!!!! 😸🤪😺

I get the Mountain, Steppenwolf vibe. Some Rick Derringer and a touch of Bad Co.
    Memphis steel doesn't rust.
    This band was on fire.
    Great LP.

Wow... I first got hold of this vinyl in 1971 or 1972.
Hi, greeting from one little island just a degree above the equator. At that time Singapore was still a third world but developing. Almost the whole kampung were Hainanese. My dad came from Hainan island to Malaysia and then down to Singapore. My mom was born in Singapore but both her parents, my grandfather and grandmother they like most of kampung folks of that generation came from WenChang, Hainan island. However at the of this album, a few of us teenagers were influenced by rock musics from England and USA and in our kampung we turned my friend father’s unused garage into a noise factory, we were forming a band. Some of the vinyl we were sharing were Jeff beck group (ice cream cake), deep purple in rock, led zep, ccr bauyou country, green river, pendulum, beggars opera water of change, cuby blizzard d simple man, mountain flowers of evil, free live, wishing well; yes fragile; 3dog nights naturally; grandfunk on time, survival, plurious funk, red album, James gang ride again; lord slutch; the gift; and some 45rpm singles, strange kind of woman, bad moon rising, Christie yellow river;, stray dogs freedom, cold morning, repent; yoko ono open yr box; etc etc. This steel album to me is a classic, the quality of the music, fantastic recording, can tell all of them were talented musicians. I liked this album so much that I went to search for the members other recordings. I came across Roland and Duane recodings with other great bands. Actually I really like busfield’s guitar solos so much and unfortunately till now unable to any other release. This album still sound great and fresh for me today. I just listened to it twice the last hour or so...

WOW ! Great Music from a band I found out about.... JUST NOW. Why haven’t I ever heard of this band back in the 70’s ?, I’m BUYING this on CD or Vinyl re-press... TOMORROW !. Is there a Gibson Flying V played in any of the songs?, sounds kinda like one.

    • @bOfONGtiBOti

Stephen busfield used the Gibson 335 in this album I think.
