  • Here is the K1 running on diesel. Annoyingly I managed to stop the camera just before I switched over from petrol to diesel so you can't see that bit. I'll take another video to include that part of the start-up procedure next time I go to the boat.

    Hi mike great video, out of interest how much vibration do you get through the cabin? I have just bought a K2 crankcase which I am building up using a scrap K4

    22 Hp per cylinder. idle speed 180 RPM, full speed 750RPM.

    Difficult question to answer. Vibration is not quite the right word, more that the boat hull gets tipped sideways a little on every firing stroke. It's quite noisy in the saloon in the front of the boat even with the engine room door shut, but it's a nice noise, if you get what I mean...
    Having said that I took careful note of the vibration caused by the preceding engine (a Beta Marine BD3) before it was removed, and I'd say the noise was comparible
