    왼앞굽이 얼굴 막기 왼범서기로 엇걸어아래 막기 손위치가 어느 다리가 움직이면 그쪽 손이 위에(품새를 할때면 움직이는 발의 방향에 맞게 손이 바깥쪽에 있었는데.) 있는게 더 정확하지 않을가요? 개인 생각 입니다만.....

    Looks like new poomsae, with the prescribed order and two kihaps… if it was just basic movements, there’s little reason they must be in such an order

      I agree that with a prescribed order and two kihaps, it appears to be a new poomsae without an official Korean name. However, not all dojangs include a techniques portion to their High Dan promotion tests (because focus is on teaching and philosophy), and therefore, this ensures that at a High Dan level balance, flexibility, and body control are a universal requirement for promotion.

    This seems like such an odd requirement for 6th dan. Shouldnt you have already demonstrated you can do these basics way before 6th dan?

      I believe it is to show that you can still do them. As lifelong Taekwondo practitioners get older, we all lose some flexibility and balance. This requirement is to show that you still have the ability to perform these basic movements. Since Sipjin poomsae is a concentrated hand technique-focused poomsae, the 6th Dan Basic Movements component complements it in requiring the applicant to show balance, flexibility, and control of his/her body.
