@@burritobandit45 First of all you're basing a one time feat as your stance as to why a genetically modified human could beat a molecularly modified Superhuman in a chance encounter. Second SB's shield was obviously not metal nor did anyone try and directly break it. It was supposed to be a knock of Cap's Shield so it being tough makes sense. And lastly people love bashing the Boys stats but all in all you have a guy that's just above street level(in his universe) vs a guy that's far beyond nuclear in his... Only Mijolnir or some crazy comic feat could save cap from that beheading.

A very cool issue , especially cool conveyed the realism of the character as in the series , but I really want to see the soldier boy more often .
Base level, Soldier Boy is just too strong and durable for Captain America.
Now, if Steve had *Mjolnir* he could probably take this.

Homelander might be SB upgrade but he is definitely an enhanced version CA
Even though Captain America is a well-trained super-soldier in his own right, sadly, he stands 0 chances against Soldier Boy in a 1v1 fight like shown here. The only way for Captain America to defeat Soldier Boy is with Mjolnir, but even then Cap would still be strugglin' against SB, since SB is far tougher, stronger and more powerful than Cap in every single way. At this point, SB would likely do well against Iron Man, Falcon, or even Bucky.

Steve can hurt black panther who without his suit tanked a point blank blast that could destroy vibranium cars. He’s far more durable than soldier boy. Soldier boy can lift more, which means nothing in a fight. Lifting strength doesn’t add any power to striking strength.

@@joker6558 go rewatch the animated short flashback. He gets knocked out, bleeds, and loses teeth to noirs hit. Noir is barely small building baseline, there is a 50x difference from the lowest end to the highest end of small building level.

Show soldier boy is small building level, EXTREMELY consistently, and he’s slower than show homelander whose greatest combat and reaction feat is Mach 4.5. He can tank bullets which are street level in energy, and is harmed by noir as seen in the flashback when he knocks him out and makes him lose teeth.
Mcu cap can fight and harm iron man, whose weaker suit in age of ultron tanked the large mountain+ damage from sokovia exploding with him in its face, with no damage. Cap can blitz Spider-Man, who should be stronger than the heavily weakened one who viewed LIGHTNING in slow motion and dodges it after it’s fired (and no that’s not their spider sense, it’s already said that’s not how that works for mcu Spider-Man) yet was blitzed by cap. Speaking of Spider-Man, cap gave him a black eye when the multi-city block+ electro couldn’t, even after he has the mk 6 reactor, which could generate 200 petawatt lasers, which is city level. Cap is almost exactly equal to black panther, who without his suit tanked with no damage a blast that obliterated a vibranium car, which hulk can only dent, and thanos level to shred.
Cap is not less durable because he’s still pierced by bullets. That’s not how that works. Credit to sarkmatv I think
