Pre-sequel canon, aka Legends, had the design team for the 2nd Death Star, Starkiller Base and the World Devastators under the assumption that they were working on deep space mining equipment intended to break apart and process dead planetoids. They were horrified when they discovered that the Empire used them on planets with a viable biome, more-so when they heard about Alderaan.
Sleep is for the weak, me am weakest there is!. Also yeah humans were monsters to begin with you just gave them reason to unleash their worst against someone who they would feel little to no sympathy for
First story. First mistake was being an HFY, but I won’t hold it against them, because they’re just silly Zenos. Second mistake was giving us almost a year to prepare, as we can do a hell of a lot in a year if we really have to.
First story was kinda meh... really missing details of how humanity went from throwing everything they had at the aliens and barely scratching the paint on their ships, to suddenly 'I am become Death, destroyer of worlds!'. I mean sure, there's an offhand mention of the old regime ( who were apparently pretty peaceful ) in favor of a more HFY! leadership, but not sure how that translates to 'We couldn't scratch your paint, now a couple months later we're disappearing whole fleets and star systems!'. Even if they broke open the forbidden fun chest of scary weapons. Second story on the other appendage was pretty damn awesome and highly amusing.
In the end if you have mass you can accelerate to high speeds, you have a a weapon. It comes naturally to humans to take FTL drive and weaponize it, just takes little time to do it and some parts might be afraid the results it can do.... and be right about it sometimes.
If any are left alive, they will study what they took, reverse engineer it, improve upon it and use it against you. When Star Wars becomes a little too real!
love how all he had to say was doc like this happens so much that they have the routine down, I also refuse to believe that the doc saying hiya was part of the plan he was just having fun sence is was a human they were dealing with.
The imagery of the Doc practicing fencing moves with the syringe - that was beautiful.
Wow, they did a smart thing. Seeing a seemingly insignificant threat and mobilizing full forces to deal with it due to the circumstances.
