You need to brand your channel Tom, consider your channel name and your logo, your cover photo etc. Do they 'cry out' what you do / who you are / your message / your purpose? Three words of advice from someone who knows: Branding, Branding & Branding. You've already nailed the consistency and clearly have videos editing skills and are very presentable so branding is all your missing to take you to the next stage. Please consider it and good luck to you!
During the editing process, if you take a look at how Iman Gadzhi video flows btw this is not me telling you to create Iman Gadzhi style edit but the pacing and Tempo, focus on sound design and add motion graphics or B-roll footages cause tbh to create thinks for the audience you have to go psychological, presently with the amount of brainrot in people, whether you make powerful contents or not, if the video is not engaging it would still be boring. Try to add motion graphics or B-roll and work on sound design, also focus on Branding and bro you good to go.
Me and my girlfriend are fighting to hit first 100 subs for months with over 60 videos but just lately we started with posting more and to check more analytics and we are getting more people now, even one of our last videos hit 750 hours in few days and that is a lot of us.. We hope that we will get more people with us in upcoming months, and also we are supporting everyone who leaves a comment 🙂
You just have to be ready to get popular as fast as possible. Trends are always the same, just give people some fun and knowledge in your content, and you are good to go. Of course, it can be tough to get to that point when you are noticed enough (that's why I am using a little bit of Famester for every video I post).
It gets tough I know. I'm also struggling....but we keep moving forward bro. Don't give up. And don't think your efforts don't count. Every video counts!
Subscribed. Good video brother. I am a very calm person myself, well not enegetic anyways, and my videos reflect that. I can't pretend to be some young person trying to impress people. (I can't believe I just basically called myself old... 😅). Anyways! Thanks brother, great insight.
Just subscribed! I just started my own channel too and have two subscribers so far. Your determination is inspiring and definitely worth another subscriber. Keep going-you’ve got this!
No matter what, small creators just need to support each other! You don't need to have the best analytics, just a fan base that supports and lifts you up!
Congratulations Tom on your 200-video milestone. And thanks for your video today, you did well. I will do a similar video once i've posted 200 videos LoL. I only aim to help one person out of 8 billion, and if one of my videos achieved, i won't ask for more.
Great vid Tom totally relate to what are you saying, right now I am at the stage of planning a video and create videos more concisely, hopefully it would pan out. Subbed !
We all start somewhere and never know which video blows us up. My wife and I are starting out on this journey too. You've got a new subscriber here and, with focus and determination, we'll meet at the top. See you there!
I uploaded 2 videos and I have 26 subscribers right now. But you just gave me so much confidence. Thank you! Maybe one day I can become a very famous person in my small community 🥔
Well done 👍 Your dedication and passion are so inspiring. Keep pushing your limits and sharing your unique perspective. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes you-keep going strong!
As a relatively new UA-camr (just a little over a month), I try not to obsess over stats and numbers, but man it's hard. Especially since I'm in a niche that's flooded -- retrogaming. Still, it's something I'm passionate about, so... I guess the thing that helped me is that I started making videos on March (and posting on the Book of Face) so, I have some built up experience in video editing, etc. I just subscribed...I like your message!
I totally get it! Stats can feel like that final boss in a retro game-difficult to conquer but so satisfying when you finally beat it! Just keep leveling up your content!
I'm admiring you for how easily you seem to speak in English. That's the hardest part for me as a non native speaker. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Bro, your everything, in terms of video making, obviously, is kinda perfect! You upload videos, with quality ideas, neat editing, catchy thumbnails and that also in a consistent frequency, but once you are UNLUCKY, you stay UNLUCKY forever! I upload very inconsistently, and thought that is why my channel is not blooming, but now I know from your video, that YT is not simple😂😂😂!
You have the most important skill set a creator could have: "Motivation & Discipline". All you need is a strong strategy. Find a niche such as "lookmaxxing or manifestation" (i looked at your channel and i recommend these ones for your style) and make videos only about these topics. Keep your channel more tight with these subjects and try to look at what other creators are doing in that niche and re-create some of their recent successful videos in your own style.
My channel has just cracked 400 videos, I have experimented with the length of the videos, different techniques, different subjects, playing different games and so on... so far the most difficult thing about new channels is "audience engagement," getting people to engage with a new video from an unknown channel is a real struggle. Any tips on this subject would be welcome. - A
i am stuck with 31 sub not losing hope ...we will make it someday.. ..i liked how you explain thanks sir struggle was real keep the good videos comming ..... i created channel long back 2017 i was really busy that time ......I had some videoes back then i deleted them and started fresh with different niche ...
I've given up on this damn platform. Now I just make stuff for me to enjoy, since either no one else likes what I make or they can't find it anyway. UA-cam is basically my coloring book, and I've resigned myself to continue sitting in the corner eating crayons. If I can spend my life thriving in loneliness, I can do it online too lol
Hey i just watched the video. I agree it is crucial to have first milestone/goal when making a channel. I have now uploaded a little under 400 videos, and I have reached 3600 subs on my channel. My goal when I started, which is still is, is to hit 10,000 subscribers with no time limit. We just gotta keep grinding
Having a goal is great in my opnion, it gives you something to work towards. But what I think is even more crucial when doing UA-cam is to know your niche. What is your target audience. This could be gaming, art, journaling etc. Having variety is okay but even still you have to narrow it down. Covering too many things confuses your viewers on what your channel is about.
hmm, I think it's a endless question of niche vs you. many people describe their niche as themself, posting what they are interested in the current moment. it also important that for sure
Been uploading twice a week for 3 years ( I deleted some videos eventually because I was not happy with them), 142 videos in, 77 subs. I doubt I'll ever reach 100 tbh.
I’ve uploaded over 400 over 5 years and feel like it’s finally being paid off, I originally started with random stuff and not the most quality content so I don’t really count them 😂
I guess I'm confused because usually this sort of video is made when a youtuber reaches like 100k subs or such... but hey, 300 ain't bad either. Keep doong what you love.
Hey Tom, I really enjoyed your perspective in this video and would love to collaborate on a video together. I have been making videos for about 8 years on multiple channels and I'd love to connect!

Pardon my honesty... bs

I love mariojoos content 😍

so true goodluck
good comment. The only thing that I don't understand is "trends are always the same". How did you get to that conclusion?
As a new content creator I am still dreaming for my first 500 subscribers. Hoping for the best!
It gets tough I know. I'm also struggling....but we keep moving forward bro. Don't give up. And don't think your efforts don't count. Every video counts!
I watched your video from beginning till the end. Luv it!! 🎉
Hats off for the persistence!!! It has now paid off 😁
It’s safe to say this video will now go viral.

I only got back to publishing now, I quit for a year...most of us quit. So you're doing great buddy. Subscribed 👌
I'm admiring you for how easily you seem to speak in English.
That's the hardest part for me as a non native speaker.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
I am thinking of creating video about my English skills and where I learnt it from. Do you thinking it would be interesting to watch?
@thetomstoll absolutely.
My English is good irl, but when the camera is on me, it all goes out of the window.
Great tips and congrats on the milestone fam! Subbed!

Awesome one. Appreciate the feedback. Gotta niche down for sure.

@@thetomstollyes brother what you say what should I do in my channel ...? Any suggestions really appreciate

Yo, that’s awesome! 3600 subs is no joke! Just keep grinding, and you’ll hit that 10k in no time. Let’s go!

Great idea 🙂
I've been stuck at 23 Sub for 1 year it's so damn frustrating I don't even know what to do I feel like quitting
Great video

Well done
The watch hours are the biggest challenge. Keep it up
Oooo. Cool! Congratulations
This video will blow up.
Finally I found someone who posted more than 200 videos with less than 1k subscribers! Welcome to the club 😂!But seriously you deserve more!
Me also 155 videos with 923 subs...Let's go ✨
Nice!!
I try my best. but I have some videos, no one to watch it😢 I feel sad😢

it also important that for sure
It looks like your niche is how to make your UA-cam channel bigger. Very meta!
Depends on if your goal is bigger than views
Thank you Messi!!
No problem Ronaldo!!!
Been uploading twice a week for 3 years ( I deleted some videos eventually because I was not happy with them), 142 videos in, 77 subs. I doubt I'll ever reach 100 tbh.

I guess I'm confused because usually this sort of video is made when a youtuber reaches like 100k subs or such... but hey, 300 ain't bad either. Keep doong what you love.
gotta get 100k subs before anyone notice :)
Good video
Hey Tom, I really enjoyed your perspective in this video and would love to collaborate on a video together. I have been making videos for about 8 years on multiple channels and I'd love to connect!
sent me DM in my discord or instagram (check bio)
You need to Give PEOPLE something of VALUE to them. Or Solve Problems. Or do Both. And Your Videos need to be Searchable. Good Thumbnails!
I just started a channel a few days ago talking about mental health, no views or subs so far lol 😅
