Omg multi door installs are going to be soooooo much cheaper by not having to route wiring from the doors back to the IT room to get to the hub. They basically crammed the whole hub into the Ultra? When Access Ultra G2 Reader Pro?! That would be the ultimate!!
What are you on? If you have a valid location to put an Access Ultra, then don't put access control there at all. Anyone can just pull the reader out and activate the strike directly. The fact that Ubiquiti released this product without at least plastering the product page with warnings has greatly shaken my confidence in them as a valid access control provider.
@@Reedithwell, they promised in early access and at the beginning of the regular sales. Since then they quietly removed it from their website. The necessary components still are built in the doorbell though
Love the new hardware. We are considering taking on the Ubiquiti line for commercial installations... but have one question: Should the network go down, is there a local database that stores cardholder information so that access can still be granted?
Please re-work the firewall capabilities. Zone based firewalling is the defacto standard. Application identification and break and inspect are also important. Being able to restrict policies to specific applications etc. Introduce BFD otherwise you can have fiber interfaces appear to be up on one side but be down on the other causing failover scenarios to fail as one of the devices wont see the link as down. Great job on bringing in OSPF though! That was one of my many sticking points with the product lineup. Now just need to get it working over IPSEC with other vendors and we are golden.
License free.. is one of the many reasons i love Ubiquiti. Its the apple of Network equipment for me. Also unlike apple, i respect companies that have the comments enabled on their videos. Shows that they believe in their products.

You mention that the AI Pro Enhancer integrated radar is for object depth and speed measurements. So, Can I use this radar feature to measure a speed of a car driving by my home if I have the camera placed just right?
What about the promised (up to) 30M cable for the AI theta? this has been promised 2 years ago and is still not available.. how long does it take to develop a cable?
Exactly. I've said this on the community before. The new intercom viewers would make excellent touch keypads. Now all we need is an "Alarm-Hub" and maybe Unifi Secure or something. Next level if it could integrate Access and Protect. Access for arming and disarming at external readers, protect for alarm verification and or even AI people detection. How cool would recognised faces on AI cams for auto disarming (optionally of course for those who want more security) but yeah the motion sensors already exist all we need is a siren and a way to tie it all together. Verkada have a pretty nice alarm product that ties in Alarm, Access control etc.
I'd like to see a wireless solution for access instead of having to wire a bunch of locks to a hub or unifi device. something like a yale lock. that can communicate with all the ai devices. Like maybe an ai camera sees x person walk up to a door at a specific time of day so it tells the yale-like lock to open automatically.
If Access would support wiegand input, I'd rip and replace all the access control systems I support on my dime in favor of UI. Need to be able to get RFID/Transcore data into Access and I'd be all in.

How can you skirt around an alarm system but not have an actual alarm system? Doing access control and cameras is great but I know many people are frustrated by the fact they still have to install a shitty old overly priced alarm just for it to take some hardwired inputs and have a strobe light/siren output. Please just make a Alarm IO module and intergrate it into protect. Then tell everyone they must have the system running on a UPS

For 99% of the population who have no idea how access control works, this is a perfect solution for low security internal doors. It's more than enough to restrict access to designated staff to areas.
I think its a good time to remind you, we are still waiting for the fingerprint scanner to be enabled on the G4 Doorbell Pro 😅

And for ai 360 to have any ai funktions like face detection
