  • Watch as a make some J Concepts Rupture 2.2 cut and shut tires for my Class three competition crawler using five 1.9 Ruptures and some special tire glue. They perform really well, I used them at a crawler competition and decimated the competition on the first course. Short sequence at the end of the video running at my local course.
    If you are in the UK and want to give it a try you can buy 5 J Concepts 1.9 Ruptures in a pack here - lcgcrawler.co.uk/products/j-c...
    The truck in the video is a Procrawler Flatgekko C23 with four wheel steer

    Awesome video on how to do this, I run Ruptures on my Pro Mod and Pro Mod Trucks! Comps I go to for class 1, 2, and 3 the Ruptures are on the ban list so we cant use them. You can also buy Ruptures in 2.2 version and cut them down if taller than you want. Subbed ya Chanel

      Thanks for watching, our class rules here are different, so for class 3 we can run any size tire, I found that 2.2 ruptures were just too wide and a too tall, which put the rig too far off the ground effectively raising the centre of gravity. I saw @westdesertwheeler do some and thought I would give it a go

    What foams did you go with for these. I'm looking at making a set of 1.9 cut n shuts on 2.2 loaded dice wheels for my poizd t3 v2 cheater build. Thanks mate great video explaining where and how to cut n shut them.

      i used some proline 2.2 foams that i cut down

      Doesn't sound fun cutting down foams. Are there any foams that are made for these tire/wheel combo. Other than printed styles

      @@chadschneider4856 the other way would be to stretch 1.9 foams over and then add the outer from a 2.2 foam

      That sounds like a better option. What about just getting some 5.25 foams like that come with the tusk 5.25s and stretch them on 2.2's? I'm going to be running loaded dice 2.2 wheels is my plan so they will be glue on tires. Might just be easier to get 3d printed inserts/foams.

    If you don't glue your fingers together then your are using super glue wrong

    Why do this?

    • @LCG_Crawler
      @LCG_Crawler  Рік тому +4

      The reason i did this was because I found the 2.2 Ruptures to be too wide and heavy but the 1.9 Ruptures were not tall enough

      Also, a lot of competitions have banned the 2.2 ruptures. A small matter of 2 to 5mm or so too tall. SORRCA has a 146mm limit. 2.2 ruptures are 151mm. Not sure if doing this to your 1.9’s will result in a slightly smaller tyre, but one could hope so.
