European Citizen Stopped From Returning Home To UK

An EU citizen with settled status was temporarily stopped from returning home to the UK as she boarded a Eurostar train in Paris.
Dahaba Ali Hussen is a Dutch citizen and has lived in London for 19 year.
She was on short a holiday in France but says a UK Border Force officer took her passport away “further checks” because she had been denied settled status in the past.
The Home Office later apologised to Ms Hussen, adding: “As part of routine security checks, Ms Hussen was delayed for a short time, but at no point was she told she couldn’t travel to the UK, nor did she miss her train”.
But the3million, an organisation which residents EU citizens in the United Kingdom say this is not an isolated incident since Brexit.
