Here's an idea, you should contact the original creators of the pictures and send them a copy of your version of their picture! I feel like it could motivate some of the younger artists when they get a fantastic version of their idea and what they could accomplish in the future.
If the original drawings had color, his versions of the drawings also should have color. I enjoy the images that he is creating but they do seem incomplete without the color.
The reason why anime eyes and eyebrows tends to be drawn over hair is normally because of three things: 1. It can be faster. 2. The hair is actually thin there and it's easier to just make the hair translucent instead of drawing individual strands. 3. To better show the character's emotions.
THANK YOU. Also I've never heard of anyone acting like it's some important aspect behind the general collective "anime style". It's just done for the reasons you stated, but is seen more commonly in Asian animation than in Western animation.
@Push_Flick It makes sense why you'd think that first. Having a character's emotions expressed clearly is super important, but it's also due to time constraints as most manga and anime are normally done on a weekly basis. Basically a stylistic choice born from necessity, like how some cartoon characters (such as Mickey Mouse) have four fingers. @Total Trash Mammal The only time I've really seen that mentality would be in those crappy "How to Draw Anime" books. ....Which, come to think of it, the "anime" eyes Jazza did look very reminiscent of those books....
It's probably mostly the first and third reason. I mean, the whole Anime style was developed by mangaka that basicly didn't have time to draw properly because they had a week to make 15-20 pages of manga. They have even less time when they have to do a colored page or need time when they actually need to think about the story that they are telling. In some ways, it's really hard to belive that there are so many good storys if you see under what shitty conditions they are created.
“This was drawn by a very talented three year old, who, and I quote, drew ‘her self portrait as a tree.’” Me: Why can’t I be three again? I’d never have stupid artist’s block again!
The reason that anime eyes show through the hair is because it helps show more expression, that's also why the eyes are so big. Expression is important in animation.
Another reason is because there are typically 24 frames in one second of anime, meaning they have to redraw a lot. This makes it easier for them because they can reuse the same base and add expression on top of it.
Am I the only one who loves how Jazza explains what everyday words mean to expect like 5 year olds are watching but in another vid he says "that's what she said" 😅
The technical stuff isn't perfect, but I love the aesthetic. Design-wise, it's pretty brilliant. I just love this whole video of cool ideas from kids' minds.

These are all 11/10. I think some of these kids should start channels. Imagine being the first kid to say, "I started this Art Channel when I was 3 years old. Now I've got millions of subscribers and I'm hailed as one of the top artists of all time!" Bow before them, mortals! 😬😈😠 Ahem...sorry. It could be cool, though! I'd respect that move. That's a legit power move. 😎
I kinda like how you redraw kid's drawing into something professionally artistic masterpiece. Also, you already did the video about your childhood/old artworks remade into new one. But this one really takes up to the whole new level.
So here is an idea: since you are a multidisciplinary (I hope that’s the right word for it) artist, how about recreating kids’ drawings with 3D printing - either by 3D pen or actual 3D printing. We all know that you always look for an excuse to try a different media to create your art (which is great by the way), you also could use some other techniques you’ve already tried in the past: Clay, food, VR etc :)
Actually the person that started this idea of picking draws of kids and re-creating them was an amazing artist called Thomas Romain; his fantastic and i truly recommend his channel!
*Jazza* your should try an art challenge in a PC game called *Card Life* . It's a survival game on steam where everything is made out of cardboard. In this game you can draw/shape everything. Your can craft a sword and during the crafting stage you can draw exactly what shape you want your sword. Same work everything (armor, tools, even the building material). You can literally cut the building pieces into your own design. I think you would be the best man for an art challenge for this game.
That would be pretty awesome to watch, how far he could go with the tools given! He could also upload his savegame for everyone to have a better look at it.

I just want to say to you, Jazza, when you do a crazy art challenge and random sketches or art pieces, I get so much inspiration I make up my own ideas in my head that are strong enough to will me out of bed at 4am to sketch just so I don't loose it. You should feel good about it, because I haven't been so creative, I just had a tonsillectomy and it's my first week of healing. I believe it's around almost the 6th day mark of the first week and I have another one to go, and I have been BINGING on your vids and they really make all the shitty stuff so much better. I just wanted to say I appreciate you, even if it's buried in the comments and to never be read by a soul, I appreciate all you've done and keep up the good work, love!
I think the original Phantom is better? Jazza kinda forced the 'realistic' human anatomy on it when it should really have that cartoon reverse triangle superhero form. Idk, just an opinion.
Jierk i think it's kinda the daddy of phantom that's how I think of it. Where there's the son and the dad teaching his child how to be an amazing warrior :3
Jazza, I love that you approached this project with a legitimately positive and collaborative attitude! Seeing a redraw can be really demoralizing for the original artist ("mine is so bad in comparison!"). But your illustrations felt very true to the sources (which were surprisingly good in their own ways), and I hope the submitters feel inspired.

Shiela O yeah I know, I just meant as a tangible keepsake. Something they can frame if they wanted to
Maybe even just send them the line art so they can print and colour it!

you should color the drawings cause i feel like the color is really important to kids art

Jazza already did a vote on either no color but more drawings or color but less drawings. The one that was picked was no color but more drawings.

I’m at a restaurant and I wanted to watch this video, instead of taking my headphones out and watching this quietly since I’m on my phone. I decided to mute the video and read he captions...
“Get our ladies and gentlemen”
Alright.
I usually hear it as 'get out, ladies and gentlemen'
Gaaawwwdd, Auto-generated captions always sounds funny 😄😄😄
Jazza: "I suck at robots!! UGH!"
Me: "Wth I could never do that! That looks AMAZING!"
It’s all relative
its so cool how you start from blue lines and turn it into a masterpiece
The phantom looked like a Zelda character with a similarity to his clothing and weapon that looks like an ancient sword
Generic Fuccboi I feel like that thing would kick my ass in a game
Wow! it's so cool seeing the kid's imaginations come alive by Jazza's awesome skills!
I might try something like this once my channel takes off :)
Great video man!

Whats up with the typos or typoes or something?
I’m going through all of these and I love your videos. The phantom is amazing but the “buttons” piece you redrew is so adorable. Love it 👌
I have an idea.
Why not try to draw UA-camrs as scary monters? I've always been curious what you might look like as a Terrifying beast!
spooky!
Can you draw yourself in the 1930’s cartoon style and/or Courage the Cowardly Dog?
love that idea!
Hill ART Love ur art! 👍
Darn it! 12 and under? I'm 13-- missed my chance by a year ;-;
Noodle Doodle Me too ;_;
Me too :(
Just do it he won't know☻
@@owenengels Yeah, but I have the face and body of a 15 y/o
Noodle Doodle just do it
Aww, bless you, Jazza! This is adorable. 😍 You’ve made some little people very happy! ❤️
"me as a tree"....draw groot.
I’d personally love a redrawing teens art so that I can enter...
I love your art Jazza, I wish you could redraw one of my characters. Keep up the epic work!
You're just a pro. Love it and I bet the kids get a kick out of it, watching their art come to life on the screen.
The three year old's drawing is better than my art 😂👌
Ditto lol
THE CHIBI TREE BOI
Wow, this is becoming a popular idea among the UA-cam art community!
Your robots are better than my circles
Circles are difficult, y'know. You can't compare that.
Its *HIS* interpretation. If he kept it the same what's the point?
The original Phantom is complete trash
*They draw better than me*
Jazza, I love that you approached this project with a legitimately positive and collaborative attitude! Seeing a redraw can be really demoralizing for the original artist ("mine is so bad in comparison!"). But your illustrations felt very true to the sources (which were surprisingly good in their own ways), and I hope the submitters feel inspired.
Thanks alot for this video Jazza.
I haven't finished it but what I've seen so far is pretty nice😂
wolfsmaul-GER Nope I just like his art.
I've watched Falco redrawing children's art and thought to myself: “Man, I really wish Jazza does that too someday“. Here we are.
Thank you
i cant believe my drawing is on this video my drawing was the last one he drew
CE Drawing I don’t think a 3 year old drew the last one...
Red is a couler
Great design, you have talent! I hope you still have fun drawing and creating characters :)
@Dyloon Hep uhhhhhh there's no content on your channel. Not even a description, or a link to a twitter profile. How can there be proof on it?
I love how you can tell how sweet he is with kids. ❤
