@@sharicamonet9675 it is fun but since I have lived in a forest type area for the past 22 years, my friends come and camp here at my house. Instead of staying in my house they pitch a tent. At least they have a bathroom right? But real camping means a bucket for toilet lol or I personally would rather use the ground. Tmi? The reality of camping is fun but that's that part I don't like.
@@VargasandLaRueChannel I totally agree! True camping is a poo and pee bucket, maybe even a hole. I mean you have your necessities of course…. But just the fresh air and a beautiful scenery, I can’t even imagine. But that is nice of you to open you home to friends. As an African American woman, I don’t believe it’s thought that many of us would love to learn and possibly live a life away from all the hustle and bustle. However the older I get and the more I value the small things that the earth offers us that make a huge impact, the more my thoughts lean to a life like this one. Many blessings to you!!

I have spent every single night & 1000‘s of hours for at least 5 years watching/falling asleep to bushcraft videos (crazy I know, but I find comfort in it). My eyes literally lit up when I saw a black man bushcraft channel! THANK YOU! Love the videos so New Subscriber here! 🎉

Glad I found you though, I really enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing more! The cramps while trying to sleep while camping are the worst! Someone suggested adding electrolytes to your drink. I haven't tried it yet, but I was told it worked.

You would have slept well on a raised bed:
1. Cut 2 🪵 logs about 3 1/5 ft.long roughly 6to7 inch round then cut roughly 10 poles 3 in.round to desired length to reduce ground convection 🙂☕🤔 I've done the ground time and find I sleep a little bit better rested. Great job on the shelter the heat would have evaporated the water quickly in an emergency situation.

I am a black Canadian that lives in the city, and seeing this makes me really want to get out into the wilderness. Granted up here they very weird on guns, but fam brother I really want to get to the wilderness. Canada got lots of forests just like the one you in now !

Hats off to you my man. That is cold friggin weather to be sleeping out in the yard. Glad to see you’re sportin a pistol. I’m a relatively fit 65 year old man with 28 years martial arts training and I would no more go out in the woods and spend the night without a firearm than, well than I would go to church or to work without one. I’ve never understood the “ it won’t happen to me”mentality of way to many people who place themselves at the mercy of predators and cross their fingers and hope for the best. Good video. I just subscribed.

Good to see someone exercising their 2A rights . Camping alone is a good time to have protection. I've stealth camped locally in wooded areas, and you never know if a two legged bed bug might cone creeping around . You bet your ass I was packing too!
I liked that you didn't have the same clichéd ten minutes of guy walking through the woods until he finds a spot.

I always enjoy watching the outdoors survival camping videos, and I especially enjoy seeing one of my own go out there setting up camp in the wild, do your thing main.
I unfortunately, have been of late frustrated to see you set up those small cramped T shelters, when you have timer and the ability to do so much more.
I am glad to see that you've began building a shelter for your fire 🔥 so that when it rains or snows your fire won't go out and you can stay warm.
I know that there's a lot of struggle that goes with going survival camping, but also at some point there should be some comfront at the as a reward.
I especially disappointed to hear that you were unprepared and went out there in the wild without your pancake mix 🤨 so sad. 😄😄😄😆😆😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Bro Mayne, you are skilled. I dibble and dabble mostly in prepping food and choosing items towards a SHTF situations. I keep boxes of disposable hand warmers. Maybe you can use hand warmers inside thinner gloves as you build?

Just wanted to add, I see several comments about you being a man of color and the lack of representation and enjoying the outdoors. On my last camping trip, there was a black family camping close by. At one point the Mom commented I was probably surprised to see them camping. I thought she meant because it was during the school year. LOL I never considered it was a cultural thing. It was obvious they camped a lot, their children all had jobs they were responsible for and were a joy to have as camping neighbors. They homeschooled their children so they camped a lot. Anyway, keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.
