Great stuff! I've just joined you for day 1 & plan to stick around for the entire hike! I suspect your legs will feel a lot worse than mine! Nice to see you've got a good life balance....walk, pint, walk, pint, sleep!
My wife and I did the dorset section earlier this month. Really enjoyed it. got very lucky with the weather too! I've just started watching your series again as we are planning on doing the Minehead to barnstaple section next May. I shall be making notes of your itinerary! When you are on the dorset stretch I recommend you visit corfe castle. Beautiful place. Keep up with the great work. Cheers 🍻
@@gonehiking9297 Great stuff. We had 2 weeks in corfe castle with the in-laws. I fell in love with the place! Really looking forward to watching & seeing where we have walked again. Get editing!! Cheers and congratulations on completing 🏁
I have just found the path and would love to walk or cycle the whole length of the trail one day in all it`s splendour so i could know what 630 miles feels like
Hello mate, thinking of hitting the SWCP this spring for proper hike so it's interesting see this section, I won't be taking the rugged path he he.....cheers
Not Port Talbot, it’s Aberthaw Power-station, can just make out the hills behind my house, just love Exmoor, spent a lot of time In Lynton and Lynmouth
I finally start my adventure along the Swcp next week down to Bude and 125mile later all planned before any of this covid nuissance guessing going to be busy every man and his dog seem to be heading for the south west...Hope to see you back walking on the Swcp soon or i'll be catching you up..Any walking this year now with you know what around ?
Sounds good hope you have a great time and the weather is kind. Like you said every man and his dog heading that way this summer so I have just done the coast to coast instead. Hopefully swcp 2021.

Pretty places... thanks for the info
@@gonehiking9297 Port Talbot is more towards the left if looking across, stands out on a clear nigh like a sore thumb as do Cardiff, Barry and Swanse

What do you mean about the book The salt path by Raynor Winn? Thanks for your video and your opinien
Thanks watching. I have read about half of the salt path.
Doing this tomorrow mate as we are stopping in Minehead just having a recap lol the wife is catching the bus 🚌 and meeting me in the Royal Oak 😀
All the best. Great first week for it. How far are you going?

My son and I are heading off next weekend. How easy is it/how painful to get to minehead from Taunton station?
Very easy. An hourly bus. Right from the station i think.
@@gonehiking9297 great stuff, so looking forward to it
I would choose the rugged path too!
I have done both. Theres not much in it. Higher up on the other path and a bit easier. Close to the coast on the rugged path.
@@gonehiking9297 it all looks amazing. The south west coast still looks prehistoric

No idea sorry it was so long ago... It is some of the free music off UA-cam if you want to have a look for it. Thanks for the comment.
I've walked the rugged path many times. It's the only choice.
Good to see you abiding by the law!
Now show me misery!!!
