I recall meeting him before a performance of his back in the mid 90s. He was *extremely* shy, and he had the most timid handshake. But, oh, what a performance! One of the top five shows I've ever seen, and I've seen a *lot* of shows over the years. Yes, very much an absent minded professor, quiet, retiring. I can see why he doesn't want to have to interact with the public. I wouldn't, either.
the beauty of music can be read in the eyes of those who play it always And these great musicians make wonderful music because smiles fill their faces and as a consequence the notes flow like water in rivers with beauty and naturalness

Lucky enough to see this trio in Boulder a few years back. What a great experience. Over the last few year's I have seen a few of my favorite guitar players. Pat Metheny, Julian Lage, Dweezil Zappa and Adrian Belew but Bill was my personal favorite. So smooth it isn't funny Rudy and Thomas both fantastic player's as well.I hope they come back to Colorado in 22

Bill is always spiritually calm and brilliant! Awesome musicians and music.
