Syd’s whole vibe is just ... amazing! She’s such a simple person but she gives off these really amazing vibes and it’s emanated in the most inconspicuous ways. Like from the keys attached to her waist, not having on shoes, and her little sporadic dance moves-it all just speaks about her character and how nonchalant and free she is. Ugh, I just love her!

I love simple videos like this that just focus on the musical talent of the artists. No exploding buildings, expensive cars, half naked women swinging around on poles, no money flying through the air, no special effects, no distractions. Just really good music.

Mostly, I can't with today's stuff: the ass twerking and in general, the continued objectification of women in videos where they're literally being used as props, this cliché attitude of *look at my fancy car, sprawling mansion, huge swimming pool, flashy jewelry, stacks of cash. There's nothing wrong with having wealth but then there are just the constant vulgar displays of material possessions that just gets old. Maybe it's not easy to come up with new concepts for videos and different subjects to sing about but I appreciate artists who go beyond the superficial norms to make good quality music and videos I can enjoy without shaking my head and changing the channel. To each his own I guess.
