I think we gotta win one, or at least play them close, because even if we don’t win this year, it will be a failure if Rodgers entire jets tenure is a failure, and in order for him to be successful here in general, we need to go to a Super Bowl. It doesn’t have to be this year, but this year we do need to see the production and success that indicates that yes, we CAN make it with this group

They are arguing two different things. If the jets win the division and win at least 1 playoff game. It’s a successful season for the team, for the jets. That’s not the question being asked. A Rod needs another appearance this year and probably another win in the SB before he retires to even be in the conversation of greatest of all time. Rodgers playing a full season without a major injury is a successful year, at 40 he's not going to look like a 1st Team All-Pro QB but top 10-15 statistically is reasonable to expect.
The last time they saw Rodgers he was just ok. He had 26 tds and 12 ints. Last year Mahomes had 27 tds and 14 ints. So was he just ok?
