that eleanor rigby was absolutely sick
damn it really was, what a nice arrangement
Didn't he just do Rigby on the 6 string bass this week?
I want to name a kid after that neck position tone
Dammmn Lemmo, as always, your playing is magnificent
I have the identical guitar. My uncle bought it new and left it to me. It’s such a great guitar, and it’s kind of a well kept secret, it seems. Thanks for doing this one!
If you mention McCarty on Gibsons, you really should bring up Rossmeisl on late 60s Fenders and most Rickenbackers. Few people appreciate how huge of an influence Roger Rossmeisl had on modern music.
One of my favorite vintage guitars! Great playing as always, Michael.
Now THAT's a Starcaster! 😎👌
Phenomenal playing too 😎👌
What a fantastic player. And what a cool guitar.
Outstanding !
Killer sustain at the end of the first demo !
Lonely People - Amazing playing! Well done!
insane playing and beautiful guitar.
The neck pickup certainly rocks, but the whole package oozes tone and from a maple board too.. I was checking these out the other day, this one is gorgeous, so cool. 😎❤
Incredible note definition &sustain. That Starcaster sings with amazing clarity.
Best guitar hero Mickaël 😮
The guitar had a cigarette after that
There’s no smoking at Norm’s.

Love Starcasters !!! Thanks Lemmo that badass !!!
Breathtaking
The Wide Range pickups are actually larger than your usual humbuckers. That’s because while the CuNiFe screw pole pieces are innovative, they aren’t as high output as other magnets, so extra winding was needed. This is the best way to find fakes, as it’s just your usual humbuckers with a bunch of stuffing around them to fill out the bigger casing.
A... "FAKE Starcaster" That's Hilarious !!!
@@soundpainter2590he is referring to the CuNiFe Wide Range pickups being faked.
What a treat ❤ thanks Michael
Beautiful guitar. Great playing.
Wow,beautiful guitar,beautiful sound,so very well done,love the Eleanor Rigby.
Great playing! Guitar sounds killer 🙌
Those guitars bombed when they came out. We used to look at them hanging in the store, covered with dust.
This one is so versatile ! You make it sound great !
I love that tune! Awesome set Michael! Sounds good! Thank you!
Norm if you go to the Texas Guitar Show, swing by Baton Rouge. Cool Starcaster. 👍🎸✌️
That thing is gorgeous. I love Starcasters!
Wow. I love that guitar. Never seen or heard one before.
Lemmo always shows me what I WANT to do as a guitarist. Thanks Michael, outstanding playing on this one (as usual)
I pretty much love the look and the sound of it!
Love it! ❤
First drop d song was cool
Awesome playing!!
Hands down your best playing in these reviews. Great guitar!
I like the looks. The hardtail setup is cool. You're absolutelyright about the headstock influence on boutique builders. Really like this one. Excellent playing as always Mike!!
Thank you for jamming out to us on the East coast.
Great sounding gee tar!
When is Jen coming back?
Lemmo, you are amazing!!
This guitar it's amazing... Lemmo is a Master 💯
Gorgeous melodic playing - thanks for not just noodling.
I’m thinking of getting one of these.
I have never been there, but Lemmo's demos and the Norman's guitar t-shirt in "This is Spinal Tap" make this my favorite music store!
Wow I really like that guitar.
Great playin, Lemmo!
That was great, very unique, man ! It's a keeper.
Fine job for Eleanor Rigby, Congrats Michael!
I think I read that Leo Nocentelli of the Meters used one of these back in the day into a Mesa Boogie Lonestar
Amazing picking technique 😮😊
I was lucky enough to play an original Starcaster in natural finish when I was taking guitar lessons as a kid in '79-'80. It was on the floor for sale at one of the local music stores.💜
Good job lemmo ! 👍
The southern blues player Kingfish plays one. I have the more affordable Squire version. It's way cool.
The inspiration for the Languedoc.
Elenor Rigby. Beautifully played
That's some really awesome tasty guitar playing!
the middle position of 2 wide range HBs is heaven.....
Great visit Lemmo.....
Great, great guitar. Most excellent per usual Lemmo! Starcaster is what the awesome Languadoc guitar is inspired from. Very cool man!
Nice guitar. I saw John Priner play one as he was playing with Magic Slim and the Teardrops. Always enjoy your video's Michael, Thanks Norm!
U make it look so easy 👍✨ star...
looks like a tele deluxe
Mike you just keep getting even better. I hope you can "resist" all the "Temptations that come through "Norms" !
Always an inspiration hearing Michael play!
Strange GTR ? Very Good Playing
⚓️ Thanks NRG 🌈 !!! STRATERDAY !!! Starwhat? 😎 Nice guitar 🎶
Oh, congratulations.
The starcas been in the back of my memory per at least 40 years. I wondered whether it would ever make itself known again.
Back in the day I played a used 70s Starcaster in a store
It was cool, and if I hadn’t recently bought a different guitar, I would have bought it.
( I have never regretted buying the one I did instead of the Starcaster though, so no temptation to sell or trade it- this was about timing)
The re-issues changed stuff, and while they are cool, the 70s one is cooler
Love the look. Tried a 2nd gen at Musician Supply in South Carolina. Heavier than I expected. Fender neck wasn’t for me. I so wanted one, glad I got to try it out. ☹️
I’ve got the bass, it’s quite nice
I shoulda got one of these when they were affordable.
nice lookin guit
Did Lemmo take a Nuno Bettencourt Pill? Best I ever heard him play. That Eleanor Digme was a 9.5 out of 10 Difficulty!
What was the first song Michael played? It was superb!
It’s sound like a Coldplay rhythm
Spanky Fender offset 335. Best ever Ibanez Strat copy has the same way cool headstock. You are all over Rigby.
Is that first song a Coldplay inspired rhythm? Anyways awesome Mike you da man 🍻
I think this is the first starcaster shown / played on this channel I believe. I know the other gent before Mark. The white haired gentleman picked a dan electro guitar to show off instead of the starcaster
I have got to say that you're guitar playing in this episode. Is by far by very 4. The best guitar player I've heard in 30 years. It's almost unbelievable..
So I know the last song was push by Lemmo himself , the Eleanor rigby jam ,, what was the first song ?
Lemmo is Venmo🎸
Ever heard of an Electrocaster ?
Sweet axe! The camera work was a little raw for my tastes....but I get it..
Cheers 🍻
Jen hasn't been on camera for a while. I think this was Graham for most of the week
Does anybody know what overdrive pedal Lemmo uses?
Wick X
Que clasr para ejecutar la guitarra michael lemo
What a super cool older Fender. The frets are so nicely polished up it showed right through on YT. Having Lemmo do his magic on this guitar only makes it a ton more appealing than it already is. He's such an awesome musician. Thanks Team Norman's. Enjoy the weekend all, Cheers
5 knob? What’s the 5 do? Master?
master volume
Tone/Volume for each pickup + Master Volume. Tons of blending options.
I thought so but wasn’t sure
What is the fifth knob for?
WTF - LEMMO FIRE>>>>>>>>>>
fender sure was cooking when they made this, shame it didnt take off
Does anybody know the name of the first song?
I wanted to like the Starcaster. It just didn't fit me. I chose the Epi 335 and have been content ever since.
I have a Gibson 333 and I'm curious about the Starcaster. I think I'll try the Squier version, for the price it's worth a try. I really like the shape of the headstock.
👍✌❤😎
The Squier version is ridiculously cheap, everyone should own one.
Thats what you call the dogs nuts.
You can hear the around the table manufacturing talk.." why don't we make something like a 335 for our product line..... it will be a bit of a Frankenstien... bit ugly"
Lemmo could make a toilet plunger sound terrific
First!
Basically Fender's attempt to copy the Gibson ES 335.
I remember when these came out. Complete flop. Didn't last long
