- The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.

That's awesome Lance! That's a difficult trick! I used to skate everyday. Im 31yrs old & haven't skated since I was maybe 16 or 17yrs old. Watching this makes me want to skate again! This reminds me of when I heel flipped a 7 stair. I tried 100+ times but I finally stuck it. Skaters that were WAY better than me were impressed/cheering. It was a difficult trick even to them. They would try 360 flipping it or frontside flipping it before heel flipping. Heel flips came very naturally to me, like a hardflip feels natural to you. Many find heel flips difficult, but heel flip tricks (heel fips, frontside half cab heel fips, varial heel fips, etc. )are one of the most natural tricks for me. Though, I don't miss the rolled ankles, shinners, or the top of my hip/lower back constantly being covered and road-rash/scabs, this video reminds me of the accomplishment one feels after finally landing a trick seemed impossible. You made me want to skate again! I think I'm going to go buy a complete!

Coming back to this specifically to say this is one of my best memories and most relatable feelings ever caught on one of your videos. Even down to "Why is California always so hot?" lol. Braille is more than any one person or thing, it's the collective message of everyone sharing this natural joy and making sure everyone can access it somehow. Even those of us who are disabled or can't currently skate, this is a perfect example of calm assessment and working with your peers having a level head to earn your success the hard way WHILE LOVING IT. It is truly precious. And it can be applied anywhere in life. I just hope everyone understands that much. Thank you always Braille.
Sorry for this long comment but I just have to write it. I started skating again within the last week. I'm 23 and used to skate about 11 years ago. I couldn't ever do tricks but now after watching all of lance's live support videos I'm able to Ollie again, Fs 180, shuvit and pop shuvit. And actually lance was the one who inspired me to get back into it. Him and I are like in the way we ride and do tricks. So I thought, if he could do it, so can I. It just takes practice and hard work. So thank you for these videos. Please keep doing them and I look forward to seeing lance continue to get better and helping myself and everyone else as well.

I've been following this channel for a while, and I really love the sense of community in the videos you guys put out. I quit skateboarding when I was 16 after 8 years, and was never taught how to skate. I could heelflip and fakie heelflip, but quit when trying to learn 360 flips.
I see a lot of myself in Lance, as I bought a board again a couple of years ago and I'm trying to re-learn how to skate now I'm 25. I would love to have a game of skate with Lance. I think it would be evenly-matched haha!

LANCE!! I have nothing but mad respect for you. I am from mexico, here we skate at 28-35 celsius every day and it gets exausting, but we are kind of used to it so its not big deal. but maaaaan ive been skating for years (not consistently) and never landed a hardflip so I give you a big congrats on that! even though I skate just for fun, not caring so much about what tricks I land or dont, it is so inspiring and ovrewhilmingly awesome to se a guy mostly my age ( im 25) trying so hard to land a trick. I mean you did like 600 tries!!!! that is really awesome. please keep improving as you are because you really are an example of what skatebording is all about: trying your hardest again and again until you succeed.

it's all about practice man and not giving up. Stoked that you landed that even though this video is somewhat old. I used to board back in the day and loved it but work and life and snowboarding and working out came into play. but I love going to a local park and watching the kids skate, super chill! keep up the work. soon those will come natural.

I just want to thank aaron and braille skateboarding I'm 28 I haven't skateboard for years like since gr 7 but I did skate for 5 years and loved and quit when my final board got stolen. i had ankle surgery and I must say as soon as I'm better imma start skating again so I can skate with my son in a couple years I can't wait.

Disagree, the hardflip is more of a vertical back shuv, i used to actually do hardflips front shuv style for a long time due to my comfort with front shuvs

Buzzlightbeers I'm saying if you do a vertical front shuv, you will not be doing a hard flip. I used to do then that way, but hard flips are back shuv that go between the legs

Hardflips are frontside varial flips. They aren't backside unless they're nollie.
