I teared up after listening to it, I've struggled for years with these issues on top of heavy depression. This speech made me bawl my eyes out because it taught me something, for the first time in my life all I needed to do was take an outside perspective on things, and when I finally heard that I for one knew exactly what I needed to do.
The game portrays very depressing vibes and it really hits close to home with me and my battle against it. But, perspective is reality, so this story may be completely different to you
this game goes over so many people's heads. it's not about a puzzle game with endless rooms but a very important life lesson..I cried watching this because of how inspiring and insightful it is
The voice actor for Dr Glenn Pierce does car adverts on the radio and TV here in the UK and I'm always half expecting them to turn into the solution to all of humanities issues.
I remember this. I was just walking through the last level. Then my eyes widen as I sit and listen. He was right. No matter how hard you try, there will always be something wrong. But that's just nature. Humans are meant to feel sadness, and fear, and anger, and even empathy. But things can get better. Even if it dosen't look like it, there is always sun after the storm. Nobody is perfect, and if you end up crying about something others might consider dumb, then that's okay. It's normal. The only reason others might consider it stupid is becuase they've never experienced something like that before, and therefore, can't proccess what it's like for you. That's why you need to see things from every angle. That's why the items grew when they looked like all they did was move. But it just shook my world so much, bacause it was the truth.
during some parts of the game i really felt like giving up or i was scared, but his voice helped me get through it it really made me feel like i wasnt alone while playing, and that someone was there with me and was there to calm me down his speech made me cry- i hadn’t realized how attached i was to him :( it was really inspiring, and im glad i played this game :,)
"Because you kept moving forward, no matter how far off the path you were told you were headed, or how unexpected it became you found your way." That hit me so hard dude. Even though almost all of us keep hearing this the game litterally gives us evidence of this and shows us that our journeys do pay off and no matter what we should and we can keep pushing on and you dont have to make your problems a bad thing. This is litterally showing us the theme of perspective.
Same. I didn't expect the game to end like this. I'm so glad I played it and I'm especially glad I went into it blind because that just makes a game so much better: not knowing what to expect.
As someone who faces severe depression this speech really made me tear up because its so inspiring. Its so empowering. It makes me think that things will get better, maybe they will.
Just finished my first playthrough of this game. The ending left me wishing my cousin could have played this before he passed..maybe could have gotten a different perspective.
I'd like a new game but I'm not sure how it'd work in relation to the existing game since for development to be worthwhile, there'd need to be new gameplay concepts which is why game sequels are usually never the same game but with a different story or upgrade graphics e.g. SimCity 4 is not just SimCity 3000 with better graphics and larger maps; and with a game like Superliminal, it'd be really hard to come out with new game concepts especially since development started ~2013 with the game releasing in 2019 according to Wikipedia...
@@wclifton968gameplaystutorials exactly. I would love a new game, but what message would they try and potray? How would the level designs be different and what mechanics would they add? We had the alarm clock for this game, along with the whole "Perception is Reality" motto, so we would need something else. I do love the idea of a second Superliminal, however.
I felt like this speech was actually really inspiring :')
It’s almost as if that was the entire point
I teared up after hearing this on my first playthrough. Something about it resonated well within me
I very much enjoyed almost being told good job but in this much more pleasing way
Same :)
So true man

"all you've got to do, is Wake. Up."
I’m adding this to my beautiful things playlist
Edit: wtf I commented this 6 months ago. It felt like 2.
Got the same idea too

Just finished my first playthrough of this game. The ending left me wishing my cousin could have played this before he passed..maybe could have gotten a different perspective.
This ending hit me like a truck
Dr. Glenn Pierce gives better speeches than Optimus Prime and that’s not an easy feat
Don't do things to eventually find the failure you expect. Do them to learn from mistakes and find the solution.
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM BUY GOLD BYEEEEE
Oh Bill wad always my 5th favorite character in that show
