What are you all talking about, this was amazing. It was so captivating especially when that girl was giving directions on the phone I thought I was watching a doc. The way Sunny casually exited the vehicle and turned his back to the vehicle and approached with his hand in his pocket, first class police tactics. I truly dont understand why so many praise The Wire, Miami Vice is easily the most realistic cop show ever.

Fast cars, hot womens, and drugzes everywhere..
I can remember the first Miami Grand Prix run through the streets of Downtown Miami.. And MV had done a few scenes at the race as well..
Definitely times to remember..

I've lived up here in South Carolina for awhile and spent 15 years up in Maine.. When I came back to South Carolina, I almost didn't recognize where I was.. The state had changed up the interstate by widening it, and there were new buildings and whatnot that weren't there when I left..

Classic show. Nothing like it since. And I think people are forgetting the impact MV had on Miami and pop culture. The first to make car chase scenes look like a music video. Using a lot of supercars. Good script writing. Casting. Hard to fault.
If anything. A nitpick. I'd love to have seen this done by HBO. Then they could have even more freedom. Like the Al Pacino redo of Scarface it was missing naked women. Kind of goes hand in hand in that life. The Sopranos got away with more...since it was done on HBO.

During the shootout in Crockett's home, the blank adapter fitted on the AC556 assault rifle used by Zubiena came loose and was propelled form the barrel at considerable speed directly towards the camera crew shooting the action; fortunately they were protected by a thick perspex screen. Zubiena, however, was not so lucky, as the adapter ricocheted off of the screen and struck him in the shoulder with enough force to spin him around and knock him to the floor. Fortunately, he suffered no long-term injuries.
The only thing with this sequence is that it is overcast in the shots with Gina and Trudy talking on the walkie talkie and clear skies when Tubbs and Crocket are talking to her. They are all in the Miami area. I love Miami Vice though.

Miami vice should have had a cool spinoff based on Linus Oliver and how he survived the shooting and brought his life back after the drug dealers were killed and rebuild his nightclub and rolled in style in miami.
