Mr. Tom...get yourself some ladles (varying sizes) for transferring liquids from their cans to mixing buckets (paint cans and similar too). Especially that expensive stuff. Neater, cleaner, less waste.

Make sure your molds are on a level surface,as liquid finds it's own level. That way they are the same thickness from end to end.

TOM, what is the base mold of the step liner made from? and how do you make that? Or is that a proprietary secret for your company?
Just askin, cause I was thinking you could use bark from a log to make a 'live edge ' mold for a counter top.

I made them years ago before I started videoing. They are the negative to my liners and then I formed around those. I wish I could show how maybe one of these days I’ll make a new one.

I have to deal with a delinquent customer tomorrow. Make sure your contracts are iron clad. I learned that lesson years ago. I've only had to deal with this one other time in my 30 years. Sad but always be in time and properly execute your work professionally. I only act like a knucklehead here and GP&F. Thought this may help someone. Great work guys have a great day.

I never thought of doing this now I can pre-cast molds for various plaster cast crown molding and trim. Having them on hand for future jobs is a real codt effective aspect for my little business. I used to have large 8" crown molding fabricated with foam, mesh, base coat and plaster finish. 10' was $850 9 years ago. Sort of like what you would get made for doing dryvitt..

Hi Tom Just wondering why you didn't make any inside and outside corners ? It would be a lot easier to miter that Home Depot trim out of the styrofoam then concrete .

That new mold would be awesome on countertops and island jobs. Or if you ever do an outdoor mantle. Or if you are doing the wood plank stamp on a patio and there is a step into the house, the step could have that new mold and it would also look like it's wood also. So many possibilities!

Hi Tom, There's just something that making things yourself vs buying them that just gives you a sense of pride in the finished job. At least it did with me. Could you market these and sell them for a decent profit that you could justify the time and material in instead of concrete finishing?? Perhaps have a full time employee working for Haus Custom Molds & Trim?? Never say never.
Stuff like this video is always neat to watch. Thanks for sharing and have a great day. Ron
