@@daygersden where are my wife always used to ride with me for many years but not anymore.. has trouble with her legs.. the time she tried to ride a moped.. come to think of it I don't know it wasn't a moped but I remember she forgot to use the clutch and she broke the shift lever off she brought it back and said this thing fell off I said dear it didn't fall off you broke it off.. I said clutch first then shift.. Corsair remember her falling down in the alleyway to the house.. and that was about her end of writing something with two wheels.. beside a bicycle...
Well recently someone came over and then his bike didn't start the dynatek 2000i.. what is the problem I end up getting a 2000 turns out there's several different models.. I guess the p is for dual fire and then the I model is for dual or single... I live and learn every day but yeah it failed it was the one that plugs into the harness and fits under the seat.. I thought I'd tear it apart but it's just like a glob of glue and plastic so I figured I wouldn't do any good to cut it in half..😮
There are switches on the 2000i to set single or Duel fire. The one your talking about has the stock ignition module under the seat that for earlier sporsters or dynasty.
@@daygersden well this was on someone's I think 98 Softail it's got the S&S motor.. but he wanted a new one and picked it out on eBay and it's only.. dual fire it has one less dip switch the last one is missing.. I guess maybe it was cheaper or something it was still like 250 bucks.. I've got one of my bike in the 98 Softail and I have a spare that I carry just in case.. I pick mine up used probably about 75 bucks each.. oh probably about 5 years ago
@MoeLarrycurly1 probably a different stock ignition mode. The older ones the use the silver timing cup won't work with the 2000i,but you can upgrade to the gold cup which will work with it.
@@daygersden well it already was set up for a 1911 look in there but it had the 2000 I.. yeah it was running fine when you left I mean I know very little about the bike it was my neighbor's bike he sold it to another guy his friend and his friend sold it to another fella and he's been bringing his bike over here cuz.. that's not his forte I think he used to run a landscaping crew for about 30 years.. so it's kind of nice to make a couple extra bucks here and there helps out retirement cuz you don't get much off of social security..
