Definitely not Nygard lol that’s my hope… The Habs need more offensive talent and Nygard just doesn’t move the needle for me I would rather draft Catton or Connelly and if Nygard really is the player the Habs are looking at I hope they move the pick for a Top 6 player in the NHL already.
I'm shocked you didn't mention Detroit in your draft outlook, because it's almost like he was made in a lab for what Steve Yzerman and his staff look for in players. Like, every major outlet mocked him there, and it was probably the least surprising pick of the 1st round outside of Macklin Celebrini.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Helenius along with Celebrini in stating MBN's almost immediate NHL projectibility. What that kid is doing 2-way in Liiga is every bit as impressive as what Brandsegg-Nygard is providing in the Allsvenskan with a niftier passing ability on top of it.
Helenius could float in a bottom 6 pretty soon, surely, but from a development perspective, he needs to refine his tools in order to make his top 6 upside concrete and spending another year or two refining those in Liiga would be wise from our perspective

@@tylerlussier1896 We're probably going to end up having the 6-7 pick. In that case I think Catton is gone already. I can't imagine teams are blind enough to not notice his talent. He"s also menace defemsively and a tough Sask boy. He would pair well with Dach whose also from out west.

We weren’t sure the Wings were going to be in a position to draft him 4 months ago. But yes, a stylistic easy match, we mocked him there too
