What an absolutely beautiful, yet painful song! No one touches these Metal Gods, probably never will, No not probably, make that Never Will! Unfathomable to think that Rob Halford is 64 years of age here, Impressive, to say the least!

@@J1Z06 I saw them three months ago for the first time, my first real metal show. It was the best concert I’ve seen in the 37 years I’ve gone to live shows. Halford was so so good and delivered as did the rest of the band.
Glenn, in 1978 you created the MOST BEAUTIFUL GUITAR SOLO IN THE HISTORY OF HEAVY METAL. Period.
Rinaldo, Richie Faulkner isn't too bad here either. They (Judas Priest) struck gold when they got him in the band. Awesome guitar prowess on that last solo by Richie. Wouldn't You agree Rinaldo?

I don´t know why, but this is one of the most underrated tracks of Judas Priest and... it´s awesome!
This is by far the greatest song they ever created, a powerful ballad with two guitar solos of different color, with one Glenn takes you in trance, and with the second Richie blows you away from this earth.
This is not only heavy metal music, this is true heavy metal art. Listen to the voice of Rob, he forms the words in tones, they hit your mind, no one can copy this. He is not only a singer, he is an voice artist.
But no metal band without badass bassist and drummer, so not to forget Ian and Scott.
This band will still be heavy metal legends when we all left this earth, hopefully meeting on the other side...

This song and indeed the entire album was a staple of mine growing up in the 80s. The cassette was never far out of reach and the songs got me though some tough times. In terms of solos I see I am not the only one who puts this guitar lead right up at the top. Definitely in my top 5 all time leads. Comfortably Numb being another. A beautiful and haunting ballad and a timeless classic. I saw Priest in 1990 and was able to meet the band backstage and will never forget it!
